Yes having 20 TDs and no INTs is good.

But actually he can be more effective in the redzone. He does not have a high percentage of TDs per attempt. Others are higher. This just tells me he has room to get better and probably will.

You can measure this stat by looking at percentage of TDs per attempt inside the 20, but if you think about it inside the 20 is not as good a measure on TD percentage as inside the 10.

And as it happens, there's a site that keeps that stat. It's not up to date as of today but still it can give you a rough idea.

Inside the 10, Goff has 12 TDs on 31 attempts, which is 38.7%. That btw is already improved over earlier in the season.

38.7% is not bad but a good percentage is more in the 50%-60% range.

The turnaround is mind numbing. It really is.

If I told you last yr, prior to Fish being fired, that in 12months our Ram World would look like this, you'd have me put away.

Why is there still doubt in week 15 for Goff? Why do we feel the need to put unnecessary expectations on him. He has done exactly what his coaching staff wants him to do. Why is that not good enough for some? I guess the real question should have been, "Are the Rams ready to win this game?" and I think we get to answer that question with a resounding YES!

Is Goff, Brady, Rogers, Brees, Big Ben? of course not. Neither were they this early in their respective careers. "Ready" is an ambiguous term as this is the ultimate team game. Goff could play lights out, and we lose despite of it. "Ready" is also a function of time and learning to become ready. He is doing what he can in that area - he can learn, but he can't control time.

I guess the bottom line question is: can we keep winning with Goff and can we actually win the super bowl?

I think we can - with and because of him, not in spite of him.

Except no one said "in spite of him."

There's going to be a range of views on a developing player and while I don't completely agree with Max, he made a fair point---Goff is probably not completely "there" yet. Again, that does not mean they win "in spite of him."

despite might have been the proper choice of words..

Goff hasn't shown to have the Farve - Staubach - Montana - Wilsonish comeback kid thing yet. I like it better when we aren't in need of a come-back. I'd like to see us win every game wire to wire. Someday the kid will need to put the team on his shoulders and pull out some wins from the jaws of defeat (similar to the 1st hags game this year which he almost did pull off) . But you can see he will be just that guys and it's going to be fun watching that develop..

The Dallas game doesnt count as a comeback?
Jacksonville took a 14-10 lead and then the Rams came back
