They meant with standout WR Rome Odunze at the combine, who knows what they might do in the first round....

I feel that would be a bad move,
Cause that means they would have to trade up their first rd pick,
and another pick to move up because of where he is ranked.

We are not in desperate need of an early first rd pick for a WR IMO.
We have Kupp, Puka, DRob & Tutu.

If we don't trade our 1st rd pick for a vet edge or CB.
Then I would better used our pick in either trading down for more picks,
then get another edge rusher, CB or G with that first pick from the trade down pick.

Remember, Snead & McVay are not at the combine,
just our scout team,
Just because they are interviewing him,
that could just be a decoy.

It's hard to predict what the Rams will do but we know they value offensive weapons (and edge rushers and corners.)

Any chance OBJ come back?

Exactly,

And right now,
their needs are edge and CB
and shoring up their OL.

Secondary, OBJ taking a hometown deal.

All the skill players on earth can’t help you if your QB is on his back or in street clothes on the sideline. Sure they are interested in top skill players. But they HAVE to be thinking about actually improving the OL. And that means resigning their own FAs or having a damn good plan to replace them, and improving their depth. Yes, they need edge and corner and even adding a TE and WR will likely get done. I believe they have a plan with multiple contingencies. We will see how it plays out through April. And then the trickle of movement as we get closer to camp.

I have a feeling restructures and extensions happen to gain more cap room and help facilitate all the moves they need to make.

They recognize the SB window with Stafford really drives everything. So keeping him healthy and on the field is paramount.

IOL/OL is the #1 need. Edge and CB aren't going to help the Rams if we have a Rypien-Wolford-Perkins-like #2 QB under center. On the other hand, paying Dotson 18 - 20 mil is not an option IMHO. How do you get more talented at a lesser price? The draft. We've got 11 picks. 3 of them (at least) should be OL. I'd suggest 2 of them with the first two picks. That leaves 7-8 for (in no particular order) Edge, CB, WR, RB, ILB, DT, S or TE. Stafford/Kupp/Puka are the priority via OL.

We should definitely try to sign Darious Williams over Ahkello Witherspoon, IMO.
