PARAM wrote:It's the age old axiom, "don't turn the ball over" that is key this week. The Steelers have 5 interceptions and 6 fumble recoveries. They have generated 300 yards of offense in two games this season (340 in wk 3 and 311 in wk 5). They have allowed 361 or more in every game, 400 plus 3 times. They beat Cleveland on a fumble return TD late in the game (7:06 left in 4th) and scored twice in the last 4 minutes vs Baltimore, thanks to an interception and a fumble recovery to win by 7. They have 5 offensive TDs in 5 games. You are what your record says you are but these guys should be 1-4.

They have had a week off (the first of 2 opponents with that luxury the next two games) to get ready for this game.

It's a safe bet we're going to amass 300 yards plus of offense and we're 3-1 when that happens. In that 1 loss we were -2 in turnovers. So, take care of the ball and it should end with a "W". The Steelers have allowed an average of 144 yards on the ground but we're down 2 RBs. They've allowed 8 TD passes and 3 TD runs along with 10 FGs. They do have 6 turnovers in 5 games so getting a takeaway or 2 will go a long way.

Lastly, the terrible towels travel well so there should be ample Steeler fans in the seats.

The Steelers have lived off turnovers. I think its something like a 10 to 3 ratio in their 3 wins. Their highest scoring game was 26 against Cleveland. The defense score 14 of those points. Its pretty simple. Don't turn it over and we should win this one. We don't have to win the turnover battle. Just don't give their defense points.

In 5 games their offense has scored 5 TDs (all passes) and kicked 10 FGs. That's an average of 13 PPG. Terrible. We need to beat the teams we should beat. And that means getting a 'W' today.

The Los Angeles Rams listed three players as questionable for Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and all three of them are officially active on Sunday. Ernest Jones, Derion Kendrick and Ben Skowronek will all play against Pittsburgh.

Jones has been dealing with a knee injury, while Skowroenk’s Achilles has been a lingering ailment for a few weeks. Kendrick’s status was up in the air following his arrest last Monday morning but he practiced on Friday and is good to go for this matchup with the Steelers.

As for the Rams’ inactives, Larrell Murchison and Myles Gaskin are both out. Murchison has a knee injury and Gaskin is a healthy scratch behind Darrell Henderson Jr., Royce Freeman and Zach Evans, all of whom are active.

Rams inactives vs Pittsburgh: LB Nick Hampton, RB Myles Gaskin, DT Larrell Murchison, OL Zach Thomas, OL Warren McClendon.

Joe Noteboom and Darrell Henderson are active.

To me this is a good measuring stick with where we are. Pittsburgh is a marginal team at best. Are we the same? Or better? Honestly, I don't know. I'll have a better idea after today.

Agreed. And it the Rams are gonna do anything of significance before the trade deadline, they simply must win today. I still don’t think they make a move. But if they are under .500, they surely won’t.

If they lose today I'd recommend against making a significant move before the deadline. I would expect them to lose at Dallas next. We don't handle good pass rushing teams very well. Our line is vulnerable to that. And our running back situation is iffy now with the top two guys out. Lose today and its very possible we're 3-5 going into the bye. Not to mention losing to a marginal at best team would just show we're capable of losing to more marginal teams.
