Thought i could maybe grab someone currently on IR without dropping anybody but guess that wouldn't work. No worry, i'm sure my roster will start falling apart soon enough and i can make some moves then...

The smart thing for us to have done is draft an IR eligible player, then pick up somebody to replace him. But who thinks of that in the heat of the draft?

There’s the league settings and rules for review by anyone.

It’s a long season and the IR rules don’t change. I hope nobody gets hurt or suspended but it happens.

I was just trying to help explain how it works.

I had to research this and figure it out by myself. Fantasy Football has many different formats.

The way I see it (did it) was drop a guy (Cincinnati Defense);
Pick up Jelani Woods (TE-IR)
Put him on IR
Pick up Tampa Defense

If you have the IR position filled and somebody on your active roster goes to IR, after deciding who to keep, you'd either drop the new IR'd guy or drop the one you had on IR and put the new IR'd guy there. I didn't call AltitudeRam, I talked to Les.

Well if you would've consulted me, I would've recommend just putting Kamara on IR and adding a player.

Damn!! I coulda put Kamara on IR because he's suspended. I'm glad I didn't know that. I really wanted Likely.

I actually DO have Kamara and just tried to put him onto IR as a test and well…it’s only giving me the option to put him in as a starter at RB or Flex.

So I put him in at Flex to see if IR would show up that way and…no bueno. It only lets me put him back into the bench.

So I guess suspension is its own category and not subject to IR rules. Which is good I guess cause it never occurred to me when I drafted him that I might be able to put him onto IR to start.

My bad. I thought I had a suspended player a couple of years ago that I was able to IR.

Did you try that with Williams in our league? Maybe the settings are different.

.. here's how i pulled it (only took me 3 yrs)

1 - "post-draft scouted" high-ranking cats with an IR designation
2 - dropped my "last" roster pick (RB edwards-helaire)
3 - added (IR RB jeff wilson)
4 - "highlighted"RB jeff wilson (newly arrived on bench)
5 - move wilson to the "IR option" (that was just highlighted)
6 - wait for your "nugget" (WR devante parker).. and add to the "now newly created" bench position!
