I know fans are getting impatient about signing him. But its possible they want to see if this is the year Van Jefferson takes the next step. If so they can either sign OBJ mid season and have a group of receivers that can rival the GSOT era. Or if someone else signs him they still have a solid group. And as we all know of course the Rams have a good history at receiver. I am one of those who says if OBJ wasn't injured in the super bowl, Rams would have dominated every quarter of that game. Robinson is good but he's more like a Boldin. That's obviously a good thing but in comparison OBJ has next level ability. (!) He would stand out if (by re-arranging history and timelines) he were actually on the same team with the original Boldin. We don't what the issue is, if there is one, but I hope they sign him. They will be fine on paper without him, but going against what might be the toughest schedule I have ever seen a Rams team face (that I remember anyway), any advantage is a plus. Here's espn's predicted top 10 teams in 2022. Rams opponents are red-bolded. BuffaloLATampaKCGBCinnChargersDallasSFBaltimoreRams play 8 games against the other 9 of those teams (with SF twice of course). So having OBJ would be nice. Kupp, Robinson, OBJ. Yeee-ow. ... 2 by snackdaddy 2 years 11 months ago Total posts: 10038 Joined: May 30 2015 Merced California Hall of Fame Re: More Fire power! (Allen Robinson Signs With Rams) POST #69 TustinRam liked this post The consensus seems to be that Robinson is an upgrade to Woods. Woods was a good all around receiver they could use in things like the jet sweep and his blocking ability. But Robinson's size and athletic ability makes him a big time target for Stafford. Who isn't afraid to throw it up and trust his receiver. Add OBJ for the second half of the season it becomes pretty hard for defenses to key on any one guy. Not to mention Jefferson as a deep threat when everyone's watching the other 3. 1 by PARAM 2 years 11 months ago Total posts: 13181 Joined: Jul 15 2015 Just far enough North of Philadelphia Hall of Fame More Fire power! Robinson is Woods replacement. Remember, OBJ was ADDED to Kupp/Woods. OBJ will come in as the 3rd guy, just like he did last season before he was immediately elevated to 2 due to Woods season-ending injury.
