Just as we have placed R4L's post in the proper emotional context and have excused it content, I believe we can all agree that the emotional and spirited comment made by @RedAlice should receive the same treatment.

Just my opinion, anyway.

When you make a post halfway through the year, that a 7-2 team is a joke and you're bowing out, you're risking some pretty emoitional reactions from fans. I looked at Alice's post as her saying exactly how she felt about R4L's post. We all invest in our team and to hear somebody say "they're a joke" is going to elicit some serious reactions, probably not all positive. I think we can all excuse emotions after a loss like that.

I believe the consequences were appropriate.

There will be no cage matches, lol.

Sunday is over, we are now onto Week 10. R4L is part of our community and I will not be arguing with him.

Onto the Niners....Go Rams!

:lol2: :lol2:

Actually, given the amount of passion and emotion both R4L and I have - as a team, we could probably decimate most.

R4L wrote:This post is disgusting. A blatant personal attack. I never had a problem with you but it seems you did with me. Oh and I've been a fan 42 years, maybe that's why I was frustrated. Hack and Brem thanks guys.

This post should be removed.

I didn't participate after my original comment, and I do believe that I have since then made my stance clear that Sunday night was emotional and I am not mad at R4L.

I would like to clarify something here tho: I have been a Rams fan for 46 years (actually might be 48, math is hard) as I learned to watch the Rams as a child.

So regardless of what happens in the future, anyone's long years of watching the Rams is not going to hold meaning against me. So please do not use that as some kind of "I am better than you" idea going forward.

Thank you!

Any of us who have watched the Rams since the late 60's (or 40's like Snackdaddy and Canuck 8-) :lol2: ) are two things. Loyal mofos and gluttons for punishment more times than not! So we are quite experienced in emotional outbursts!!! We make them. We chide them. We forget them (sometimes after arguing for a bit)! It's all good.

I guess i should've read this thread sooner but didn't really feel like diving in immediately after that loss, and had family in town.

But all's well that ends well i guess. I did delete Red's one post that was pretty far over the top.

Like she said, this stuff is emotional, especially a bad loss, people post more when they're mad than when they're happy, sometimes there's drinking involved, etc. Cooler heads usually prevail.

On to the Niners...
