yeah, he actually had a perfect qb rating that day, but 2 other guys threw passes for the rams, including pro-bowl halfback skeets quinlan, which "dropped" the qb rating to 140.7...

that said, van brocklin "only" threw for 2 tds and 293 yards that day, a pedestrian day at the office compared to his 1951 opening day numbers: 5 tds, 554 yards, 54 offensive points!

in fact since 1950, that's still the most passing yards in a game for a rams qb:
