Rumor has it their OC was getting attention for head coaching jobs and they wanted to keep him more than Lovie. Look for Trotter to get promoted tomorrow, or after they do the Rooney rule interviews.

Edit: nevermind forgot Trotter satisfies the Rooney rule himself :D

They were talking about this on the radio and said that TB has drafted just one defensive player in the top rounds of the draft the last couple of years and then went with a rookie QB. The point being, they didn't really put Lovie in a good position. He's a defensive coach and it seems wasn't given the pieces or freedom to coach the way he wanted.

Not just top of the draft but one player total on defense the last 2 years. Kwon Alexander last year, in 2014 it was all offense. The year before it was 4 on defense and their 1st rounder went to Revis and his one year there.
