I wonder how long it is before DirecTV pulls the plug on residential and goes to commercial (bars, restaurants etc) only?

The problem is that many of these regional sports networks with MLB, NHL and NBA have near exclusives that limit them to Dish, DirecTV and whatever local cable provider there is. For example here in St. Louis if I want to watch Blues hockey and Cardinals baseball I ONLY have the following options:
-Spectrum cable
-DirecTV or Dish
-building a streaming only of FUBO and Ballys Sports that costs about the same as my DirecTV with fewer channels

I understand that Red and other people have a blinding white hot hatred of DirecTV or their local cable company. The problem is until other sports besides NFL get freed up cleanly to streaming, a lot of us are stuck with DirecTV.

And. I can guarantee you that streaming is ok to everyone except old people.

It’s not an issue.

Also I suffered my whole football life being dictated to by DTV. That is finallly ENDED

YAY. YAY. YAY.

WellI guess some of are older I dunno, but I know I do like a better product. Sounds to me you a pretty bitter cause you couldnt figure how to get a dish to work. I did some pretty extreme things to get it to work as I moved to various locations. Where there is a will there is a way. Enjoy your $$$ Youtube!

BTW Hulu Live is a pretty solid, getting use to the DVR and isnt glitchy nor forces you to watch ads. ala YT.

It is BS.

The fact that Sunday Ticket is an exclusive deal is BS. But that hasn't changed, it's still exclusive. The exclusivity of the deal hasn't ended, just moved. It's still BS.

ATT owns DTV. Neither ATT TV nor DTV stream have had NFL Network for a while. My guess is DTV dish only carried it because of Sunday Ticket.

I guess we're gonna find out but now that DTV no longer has Sunday Ticket, i won't be surprised if they stop carrying NFL Network.

Made my call, they offered to match YouTube's price but nothing else so i cancelled, no offer of suspension.

Strange New Worlds await me...

Don’t think we can expect phone support or calling, threatening to quit for a better price. Probably gonna be pretty much exclusively online support and interactions…
