Goff would have had at least 2 touchdowns if Cooks and Higbee had caught/held on to balls that he put right in their hands. Maybe Jared can learn to play 8 man football. He can throw the ball, catch it and maybe play a little defense too.

Horny Mcbae wrote:My post is not all about how i feel about the game. Read it again. There's literally one line in it about it. It's funny how if you're so against that particular sentiment how come you didn't say anything when all last week i was saying how great i felt about our chances and that i wasn't worried at all. I even guaranteed a win. Such a downer and negative i know.

Your post is 100% feelings based thoug. Still haven't told me anything that would merit what those feelings are based on. If you had i would totally accept that and might even agree if your points made sense to me. You are just demanding everyone ride the same wave as you. Disregarding my history of posting here and calling me a downer. It took me by surprise because you and i have a friendly relationship and i've always been very respectful of you and i figured you know my general tendencies well enough to know that i am not someone who is negative all the time and it was unfair of you to categorize me as such.

If your comment about me going to a different board was just a joke than i misunderstood that. Just the whole tone of your post didn't sound joke-y. Thats all.

But then you said i wasn't worth discussing anything serious with which is the definition of being "kind of a jerk" to which i responded. Hope you understand.

Okay, fine.

Can we move on please?

Horny Mcbae wrote:Brees. Thomas. Kamara. Ingram and Taysum Hill are all extremely dangerous and because they are so dangerous it makes their lesser attacking players better even if they aren't all that on their own. That's a lot of weapons to have. For comparison look at the Pats.

My concern is more to do with our defense than their offense (which is frickin good obviously). Our secondary does scare me. Peters is a head case and his penalty taking potential is worrisome along with him getting completely owned by whoever he is covering. Wade Phillips does not give me much confidence. We can all HOPE that he brings it but thats just hope.

Our offense can go toe to toe with anyone but even there we need more from Goff if that is to happen.

Look, saying that New Orleans is a very dangerous team isn't a hot take. They are playing at home where they have a significant advantage, this isn't a hot take. Saying that our defense is bad isnt a hot take.

Should i put a disclaimer before every post saying that i still root and hope and wish the Rams win as to not sound like i've forfeited this game already. :lol2:

Saying our defense is bad isn’t a hot take it’s a bad take.

Sure, they’re not great, but they certainly aren’t bad. They held Elliot in check all game. It’s the playoffs. Guys like Suh and Talib raised their games.

The Eagles D was decimated by injuries during the game, and the Saints only put up 20 points.

Here’s what the Saints put up the last 6 weeks...
10
28
12
31
14
20
So they’ve been averaging 19 points/game over their last 6 games.

On the thought McVay has lost confidence in Goff, I disagree. I think he leans on him when we are playing a high scoring team. Minnesota, New Orleans, Kansas City, etc.. I think he learned something in Chicago. That game was never out of reach and we ran just 13 times. You might say, "what did he learn? we ran just 18 times against Philly" but Gurley missed huge chunks of that game late.

We might have to score 30 but we might only need 24/27 if we can pressure Brees and get a takeaway or two. Fowler needs to come up big and the entire DL has to get their hands up. As far as motivation as underdogs, if those guys need motivation for a game to see who plays in the Superbowl, we might as well stay in L.A..

Run the ball, play good D, use that play action. Easy right? :D

Here's a question.....we win the toss.....do we defer or take the ball and try to silence the crowd early?

Whenever anything goes wrong blame Goff. It's strange that Goff gets the blame when things go wrong, but rarely gets any credit from some Rams fans when things go right.

Everybody has hit on it, limit Thomas, tackle well and run the rock. 2 outta 3 on the D.
So add in Goff, Woods and Cook. Easy peezy!
