i want to see the rams dominate on both sides of the ball this weekend, and the packers are just the team to do it against... here's a look at what the packers have done this year, not very impressive at all, on offense or defense.

offense: they've scored more than 24 offensive points just once all season, against the hapless niners and their 30th ranked defense (in offensive points allowed), against their other 5 opponents they averaged a very unimpressive 21.6 offensive points per game, the equivalent of a 23rd ranking this season... rodgers is winless in games he's been a +6.5 point (or more) dog, and he's +9.0 dog this weekend... c'mon defense, show your friggin' mettle this sunday!

defense: the packers defense has coughed up 29 or more offensive points in 4 of the 6 games they've played this season, including 31 to washington and their 25th ranked scoring offense, and 30 to sfo and their 20th ranked scoring offense... add to this the packers currently rank 21st in tds per pass attempt allowed, 17th in qb rating allowed, and 22nd in yards per carry allowed.

kind of a weird stat, but i guess the point is rodgers hasn't had luck outscoring the best offenses... anyway, by my count, it's 0-5:

2015 - car, lost 29-37
2015 - ari, lost 8-38
2015 - ari, lost 20-26
2016 - atl, lost 32-33
2016 - atl, lost 21-44

for those counting at home, the pack gave up a whopping average of 35.6 points per game in those 5 losses, while scoring an average of just 22.0 per game. :shock2:

the packers are 9-3 after the bye under mccarthy, something i've continued to hear/read all week long... that's great i suppose, however the 12 post-bye teams the packers faced included just 3 postseason bound teams, i.e. the other 9 teams they faced after he bye were also-rans who watched the playoffs on tv... so how did the pack fare against the 3 postseason bound teams they did face after the bye? 1-2... wow, pop the champagne!
