The Chargers might just surprise those few folks that do attend. I have a feeling the will contend for the division.

Yeah. I’m starting to have to listen to their remaining SD fans who’ve asked me to check facts on the team.

They won’t suck. Unless they Charger it. Which they may.

But hey damn, Chargers have looked good for years in pre-season. 8-)

They looked good towards the end of last season. They were in a lot of games they lost by just a few most of the season..

I hope they suck for the Rams sake, , but I'm not so sure they will.

Sports Programming Abruptly Off The Air At XEPRS (The Mighty 1090)/San Diego

April 10, 2019 at 1:24 PM (PT)

Where’d It Go?

What's going on at BROADCAST COMPANY OF THE AMERICAS Sports XEPRS-A (THE MIGHTY 1090)/SAN DIEGO? The sports format abruptly disappeared from the station today (4/10), replaced by Adult Hits music, reportedly from KJAV/MCALLEN, TX, and the station's stream went to ESPN RADIO programming. The station has yet to issue a statement, although afternoon co-host SCOTT KAPLAN tweeted that he will make a public statement at 3p (PT).

BCA previously saw its Classic Hits MAX 105.7 format dropped from the air by XHPRS/TIJUANA and its ESPN 1700 format on XEPE-A/TIJUANA licensee JAIME BONILLA in a dispute centered on alleged nonpayment of lease fees. INTERAMERICANA DE RADIO, S.A. de C.V. (headed by ANDREAS BICHARA) is the licensee of XEPRS, licensed to ROSARITO, BCN, MÉXICO; the BICHARA family also owns KJAV.

Isnt that the old XTRA? Super powerful output?
Was that the station the Chargers used to broadcast on and the Rams hooked up with after the Chargers moved?

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego area sports fans may find Wednesday's commute home a little quieter after top-rated sports talk radio station Mighty 1090 suddenly went off the air. And, it's uncertain when or if it will return.

A station official told the San Diego Union-Tribune that The Mighty 1090 lost its "connection in Mexico and are working to get this resolved."

The station fell silent around noon Wednesday.

"As you can imagine, this has my full attention and there is nothing more to say at this time," said Mike Glickenhaus of Broadcast Companies of America, which operates 1090-AM.

BCA, based in San Diego, operates The Mighty 1090, classic alternative station 105.7 MAX FM, and 1700AM as an ESPN Radio affiliate. It was founded in 2003 by John Lynch, father of former Torrey Pines High School football standout and ex-NFL strong safety John Lynch Jr.

Scott Kaplan, host of 1090's Scott and BR Show, told his Twitter followers that despite past challenges after the San Diego Chargers relocated to Los Angeles, "things have been going remarkably well...but we're in a complicated business."

It is the one that has been giving Rams info here in San Diego since last year.

I like it.

Let's hope they don't vanish then. Seems odd.
