Revis is done, he was destroyed last year. Plus his pending troubles with the law? No thanks.

If the Saints are entertaining Cooks for Malcolm Butler, why not Cooks for Tru?

I was speaking only to signing Revis as a replacement for Tru. I would consider trading Tru for Cooks, but I think the Pats have the inside track on that one.

No I agree about Revis, but as far as Cooks for Tru, Do not think the Saints want to take on 16 mill for this year.

It feels sloppy. If the idea is Trumaine is worth a lot to the organization, get a long term deal done. If you feel he's important, but couldn't come to terms, franchise him and see what can be worked out. If the idea was that we didn't want to spend $17 million on him and we can do without him, don't tag him. If you have a deal in place to tag and move him, great, tag him and move him.

But if you don't think you need him, can't afford him, and are asking too much for him to trade him ... that has the awful feel of dysfunction ...

Thank you. Very well said.

Guess I use a different definition of dysfunction. My mind creating a bunch of hypotheticals that other people might or might not be thinking doesn't inspire me to call them dysfunctional.

IMO they didn't really want him back but felt the best way to maximize what they're able to get back for him was to tag him. Him signing the deal just forces them to either keep a good CB or keep trying to trade him. That he signed our tender makes it easier to trade him now since a team won't have to give us two first round picks to get him. Again that looks smart in my eye not dysfunctional but it's all my speculation on what smarter football people than any of us think.

Haha show me a trade in any sport where the initial requests weren't high. Hell the first reports were New England were asking the Browns for both first round picks for Garapollo. I doubt anybody would call them sloppy or dysfunctional. Some of you guys just find it way too easy to just automatically think the worst of the Rams management. IMO that's sad.

I think we should take a 2nd or 3rd from the Browns and move on from Tru. We won't get anymore from anyone else IMHO because Williams had him in his system AND the Brownies are trying to become relevant quickly. We don't have enough cap right now and are looking at re-signing Aaron fairly soon too. The draft is LOADED at corner and there should be some damn good ones still there in rounds 2-5.
