My take was:
Stan was part of the group trying to get an expansion team to St Louis
He got in with LA move
He knew he'd have his chance when Georgia wanted to sell, and he bided his time on that
He got his opening and for a minute was the toast of St Louis
He knew of the tier 1 provision and had full intention of exercising that obligation
I think St Louis took his Missouri roots for granted
I think the bureaucracy and red tape pissed him off
I felt like he was treated like a tenant
So he got pissed and sought pastures elsewhere
I think Peacock was a dick and made matters worse

Peacock was/is super self-serving and just as bad as any other egomaniac. Smug and arrogant and lying as they come.

"In Peacock we Trust" - one of my favorite slogans that went the way of the dodo. :D

I think for me bro and who was the bigger dick, Peacock played second fiddle to Joe Buck. I totally get he is a home town guy and can respect he is. I swear however he to me is just asinine and his smug looks just begs for me to hit him 3 ways.........Fast, hard, and continuously.

However like on RRF I do so continue to agree with you that Peacock was in a win/win situation and no matter how it played out he was gonna come away looking like superman to the area.

He has an ego too. He (+ JJ ) took on the world and won the relo. He put up a ton of dough to do it. Gunslinger if you ask me.
If Fisher is demoted or not retained, what other proof do we need?

That's a big "If". However, I would agree that if he blows Fisher out and gets top end talent, then he should get the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I believe that Fisher should have been shown the door after year 3 and that StanK didn't do it because he did not want to eat the guaranteed $$$$$$$$. I also believe that while he may have been a jock, acquiring assets and wealth mean a lot more to him that getting wins.

I think you nailed up thru St Louis took his Missouri roots for granted.
The rest goes like this....
He knew the dome would never be Tier 1
Had is eye on property in LA that could fit a football stadium complex and more.
Did what he needed to do to make it happen.

Now IMO SK is a total d-bag, BUT it does not make him a bad owner from a success standpoint. He has money and is willing to spend it which are great attributes. The rest... we have no idea since he says next to nothing. None of know how much he cares about winning, we know he loves money and does a great job of making it. One would think he would care about winning to make more money particularly in LA, but again no one really knows. His US professional teams have not been successful under his ownership that is all I have to go on, so while I like his measured decision making it hasnt shown up in the win column for his teams. Guess will see what he does with Fisher. IMO Demoff is safe as can be....
