True. But what I said was "if we kicked the XP, the situation at the end wouldn't have changed. It would have still been a 5 point game because Tampa wouldn't have gone for 2 down 6 points after the first TD." Unless they used the same calculator Fisher used.

Because they missed the 2 point try, otherwise its a 3 point game
How you're not seeing that is fascinating

Watching the replay last night, when it came to the play I got the feeling Fish was trying to push it to 13. That way a TD and 2 FG's couldn't beat him. Worse case was a TD + 2 and a FG would tie. Still 2 scores either way.
Now with just over 2 minutes remaining, it seemed to me he was overthinking things quite a bit and by doing so he didn't give much respect to our D either.

I see that. I don't know how you're not seeing the facts.........going for 2 and missing didn't change anything as far as the end of the game......the END of the game, meaning Tampa's last drive....except for the woulda, coulda, shoulda's. If we kicked the XP to go up 12, Tampa doesn't go for two and provided they make the XP, it's still a 5 point game. Certainly if they made the 2 pointer it's a 3 point game but they award you two points for it because it's difficult (less than 48% success rate the last 3 years and 4 of the last 5, compared to 94% success rate for XPA in 2015). There also the fact they didn't convert it. Making a big deal out of the attempted 2 pointer, doesn't change the math......kicking the XP instead failing on a 2 pointer would have allowed Tampa to win with 2 touchdowns, which is where they were at the end of the game right? To be completely factual......by not kicking the XP and failing our 2 point try, we gave Tampa a less than 50-50 shot of making it a 3 point game with a TD. And if they were successful in their 2 point attempt, they would have gone for 3 instead of running out the clock trying to score a TD at the end. We still don't lose unless in OT but we still don't win in regulation either. But we did win didn't we?

I can't believe people are still debating this thing.

No one is gonna change their minds now.

Here's the thing. If the Bucs tied that game 37-37 and then won it in OT, Fisher would have gotten fried in the media, local and national, for his decision to go for 2. And nobody would have been defending Fisher then.

I'm going to start calling you Pesci, because you are being clearly obstinate.
Fisher made a mistake. Your "facts" are not correct.
He could have made it a 2 td game with an XP but allowed it to become a TD and 2 PT game from tying. That's a mistake. period.
Paint a pig however you like and its still a pig
That is a fact

You're right Dieter. It doesn't matter that we would have lost the game if Tampa Bay scored a TD in the closing seconds whether we kicked the XP or missed the 2 point try. It doesn't matter how the XP attempts and 2 point conversion attempts added up. We could have done things differently and things would have turned out better. Bitch about a win anyway you want but it's still a win. I'll bet it burned your arse how those two timeouts we wasted cost us today. That damn Fisher just doesn't know how to win the right way.
