I'm kinda surprised Saffold and Foles weren't on the list. Maybe they are holding out for a miracle trade for Foles. They must see something in Saffold I don't. Keeping Saffold is definetly not a vote of confidence for one of the young guys. Or maybe they have him penciled in to play LG next to GRob.

I spent every extra penny I could muster on tix to Dodger, Lakers, Kings and Rams games. Heck, I even attended California Angels games before they ruined that stadium.

I gotta say though, there was nothing like attending those Showtime games of the Lakers. It was like the GSOT days, but just in basketball. That team was beyond fun to watch. And the fans were totally in to the team and those games. The forum just rocked.

The SB against the Steelers was pretty damn special too. We should have won that game. We had them, until the interception in the red zone with approx 5mins left.

I think I got an answer about Saffold from another board.

Saffold has a $4.75 mil. injury guarantee. He is still considered injured.

The shoulder surgery happened in October and has a projected 5 month minimum recovery period. If they cut him now, they would lose $1.75 mil. on the cap.
Maybe they cut him in about a month or so provided he can pass a physical at that time.

Whoever he is, I want Saffold's agent. Getting someone to sign Rodger to a contract with a $4.75 mil. injury guarantee is genius...

These cuts are exactly why I was ready to move on from Fisher. He's had enough time. 4 years is plenty as the roster is now about 95% his guys.
And this year is the tip of the iceburg. Year over year we will now be facing who to sign, who to let go.
Seattle is feeling the affects of it, but the difference is that they are winning still.

Anyone remember Michael Hawthorne or Chris Clairborne? Just thought I'd add to the list of "Bad FA Signings". (Jason Brown and Greg Bell come to mind too).
