TMAC would be great also. I’m hearing people saying he’s lazy which is laughable.

I think the trade up is for Warren and I love him or Loveland. We can get any of those guys and win the Super Bowl.

I think after Bowers Sneed sees Bowers again and he’s not gonna let that happen. He’s gonna draft Loveland and get his explosive tight end.

Also helps Stafford.

CB, TE, OL, and LB ... I'd like to see how those positions play as variables in the Rams Draft.

As of right now, we have all of our starting position filled,
Now if an injury occurs, and someone shine, then maybe,
But how I see it, we have our starting position filled,
especially on the offensive side of the ball.

If somehow, we draft a shutdown CB or a stud ILB, then maybe.
But as of right now, I don't see it happening!
I foresee more as backup and future starters.

I see a new TE a a starter this year, Higbee is slowing down and gets injured often. I love the guy but he has more yesterdays then tomorrows. Warren and Loveland are out of reach and would cost us too much. Arroyo has bad knees and Fannin is too small. I'm thinking we trade back and get either Taylor ( my pick) Helm or Ferguson. All three are pretty so!id players. If not then its WR or CB with our first pick. Just my opinion.

Yeah its 4am here and I'm up because of my weird fatigue syndrome sleep rhythm. That said I had a bunch of emails and texts from friends and acquaintances about a last minute trade up offers being sought by both the Rams and the Niners. If the Rams are indeed seeking to trade up that means only one thing a QB. Every other position of need is filled or can be filled in lower picks.

It's why yesterday I wasn't convinced that the Rams were talking Ramsey with Miami. I don't see them wanting the huge cap hit he brings.

Sure there are multiple QBs in this draft that hold long term promise. But most are multi year projects. The Rams want a QB that can be polished for a year then start in 2026. Unlike most people my background as a business analyst makes me see that the days of big cap increases might be over for a number of years. This country is already in a recession and if it deepens that will affect the NFL cap severely. That means the smart teams should begin their cap management this year not wait. It's why I don't see Stafford here next year even if McVay wants him. They simply need to be mindful of how much cap he eats up. If the Cap stays level or actually reduces next year that cap carryover will be key to keeping the roster together. It's why that fifth year option for the highest paid position makes sense.

This isn't saying they are definitely taking a QB in the first round. They may not find a trade partner and decide to stand pat at 26. All I'm saying is that if indeed there are legs on these rumors, then QB would be the position they would most likely target.

It's why unlike previous years I will be watching the entire first round. I don't really care what other teams do but simply to see if the Rams do indeed trade up.

I think the huge motivating factor is that the Rams don't project to be picking this high again in the first round for a while. I think it's now or take what they can in the future. But the cost will be higher because that first round pick won't be worth as much. So IMO if they are going to move this is the year to do it.

E-mails and sleep rythmns aside, that's one opinion. I'm of the opinion it could be for an OT (Banks). Or a TE (Warren, Loveland). Or a CB. Or a WR/CB. :idea2:

Why would a team as talented as the Rams waste draft capital for a QB in a weak QB class? It makes no sense.

When they haven't made the SB (or suffered a SB hangover) they've averaged the #22 pick slot in the first round ranging from #19 to #26. So that theory (not picking this 'high' for a while) is also a reach.

There isn't a QB in this draft worth the trade up, just to sit on the bench for a year or two if you're the Rams. If they trade up its for a playmaker, TE, WR, CB or a RB. just my opinion.
