IMO the Rams won because they simply wanted it more. They played hard the entire game. That patch work OL went against a very good defensive front 7 yet Stafford had time on most of his passes. They were good enough in the run game to give the Rams balance.

The biggest different was in McVay's playcalling. Too many times he gets tunnel vision and prematurely goes away from things that are working. He stuck to his 12 personnel, never abandoned the run and most of all didn't chase points, taking what was there for the taking, allowing the game to come to him instead of forcing the issue as we have seen all too often. McVay is many times his own worst enemy.

This time he trusted in game plan and trusted they finally have a PK like they haven't had since Zuerlein left. The Defense is a work in progress. I can't say I'm a fan of Shula's rotation system in the front 7 but he's as much of a work in progress as his unit. They have promise. Young is maturing into a very good edge. Verse misses too many tackles because his wild playing style. He will have to settle down and understand how much his missed tackles hurt the team. Once he does Verse and Young will be a two-headed monster. Gallimore and Davis are definitely better than Bobby Brown.

IMO if White doesn't improve it will be time for Witherspoon. White flashes why they signed him but his coverage is too inconsistent. Lake and Curl are without doubt their best safeties.
That said like the rest of the defense the secondary is a work in progress and should improve as the season progresses.

On the OL both Bruss and Limmer are inexperienced so they have occasional breakdowns. But overall both are playing well enough at this point. They should improve as the season progresses. The main thing is they went against a very good DL and Stafford still had time to throw.

This was a good test and a confidence builder.

That was Stafford's 36th career comebacks, which is tied for 5th all time with Drew Brees.

According to PFR, it’s his 7th as a Ram, counting the post-season. Not counting game winning drives, just 4th quarter comebacks.

He had 8 in 2016 alone, a year when the Lions actually went 9-7. That means of course that 8 of their 9 wins that year were 4th quarter comebacks (including 1 against the Rams).

He had 8 in 2016 alone v. having 7 with the Rams in 4 seasons, because--obviously--the McVay Rams have been ahead in games more often than the 2016 Lions were.

Anytime you can beat the Niners it’s a plus.

Biggest Niners fuck up against the Rams since the NFC championship.

Always like kicking Shannahans ass.

Old Mcvay would’ve went for it on forth down left points on the board.

This one lets the offense come to him.

Jordan Winnigton had some great plays.

This Niners team is a good team that shredded the Jets. Purdy is playing outa his mind so we gotta take advantage and appreciate the game and relish the game. Great win.

Guys stepped up.

Verse will be great but he freestyles.

This was a good win for guys to know what this rivalry is about.

The Kicker is great. What a luxury to have. Zurliene was great but come on Matt Gay won us a Super Bowl.

When the big dogs get back we should be okay.

I mentioned the Dbs White isn’t a pro bowler anymore.

Jameson Williams Marvin Harrison Jr. and now Juan Jennings. That’s a problem. Is DJ Moore or Oudunzie gonna go crazy next week? Next game?

Go Rams great win. Niners thought they had the win.

Games like this is why Tutu was drafted. We will debate the pick. But speed is where the NFL is at.

Can’t we say Atwell is a Worthy??? I mean you need those guys who can get all the way down the field and Tutu can do that. He’s one of the best at it with Stafford.

Alaric Jackson off the field shit get it together man when you play you help us.

When we get the squad full strength Avila Jackson Dotson Havenstein we should be a great team playoff team.

With Nacua and Kupp Atwell Whittington Robinson that’s a good unit.

Parkinson Allen Williams those are key players at skill positions. With Stafford

If the defense can do anything respectable we should be able to make a run.

The NFC is wide open.

Great effort and coaching to motivate a team that looked dead last week. I hope they continue with this intensity staying viable until they can get healthier. Some are calling this a Niner collapse rather than a solid Ram effort. I am calling it a win when one was really needed.

Stating the obvious this was a massive win, def a save your season type deal. You cant go 0-3, that is a major whole with still two tough games coming before the bye.

Things that need to get fixed/adjusted.

1. Linebacker can we mix in Speights for Rozeboom. Rozeboom is fast but just to light get pushed around and misses too many tackles.

2. The backend, they had to cover too long but White is has been up and down, too many easy completions all they way around, changes should be made.

3. The young DL needs to get more pressure on the QB AND stop the run. Def got better in second half but this group needs to grow up fast.

On offense just keep fighting, and freaking let Tutu and Staff cook downfield.

Don't want to jinx it but huge positive is nobody got hurt. They don't have to scramble to figure out this week's Oline...

Yeah hopefully nothing comes up in McVay's pressor later today, sometimes injuries pop up the day after. Def would be big if we made it through clean especially on o-line.
