FREE AGENCY
QB Bryce Perkins is not going to be tendered, but the Rams are open to bringing him back at a lower price, NFL Network Inside Tom Pelissero reported, per a source.

Not to say Perkins won’t leave or the Rams won’t sign someone else but it will likely be Perkins at a lower rate.

Rams sign Coleman Shelton per Jourdan R. 2 years. Still should draft a C.

Elvis, I put this in the free agency thread by accident.

IMO, it's the little unspectacular personnel moves like this Coleman SteadyEddy Shelton signing that will help us weather the upcoming 2023 rough seas!
Good solid signing Les Snead! :idea2: :arrow2: 8-)

We were a team of several high profile stars and a lot of role players.

When you shed the stars you get measurably worse, more so than a team that is more balanced.

We are down to 3 stars now. AD, Kupp, and Stafford. Ramsey is gone, Whitworth was gone last year. So were the rented stars, OBJ and Von. Wagner also bye-bye.

So what happens with AD and Stafford? They’ll be gone within the next 2 years. Heck, they may be gone b4 this season.

This team will most likely have a losing record this year. Only question is will it be bad enough to draft a QB at the top of the draft in 2024.

61 mil in cap $$ already in 2024. That’s a nice chunk for 2024. It doesn’t say much for our 2023 cap numbers which as still pathetic and having only signed Hoecht and Shelton but even with the dead money 2024 is looking better if the Troika come back. If not, they’ll be even more to spend on a total rebuild.

Some rumors were floated that McVay was taking a rain check on 2023 after that disastrous “run it back” season. I think the new T-shirts will say “Run it Black” as in INTO the black from this Red death. Rapp may be headed to the Patriots. We’ll have to get by on the wire, draft and McVay magic in 2023.

I guess Taylor Rapp is gone to.

All the young guys will be in the backfield. Carnell Lake at safety.

How funny would it be if Rapp and Scott are the Bengals staring safeties.

Lake and Fuller and Yeast are going to be a very good safety group. Fuller was our best back there b4 the injuries.
