It's funny, Mokler said it best, there's a point where your memories begin and then prior to that is history lesson. I thought #30 was easily going to be Barry Redden with possibly Zac Stacy getting some love. How could I forget McCutch????
29 and 28 are pure no brainers.....

Its really hard for me to pick who was better between those two. Dickerson brings back memories of me and my late best friend drinking beer and cheering him on. He was the best pure runner I ever saw. We watched a lot of games at the sport bar we hung out in. Two buddies drinking cold ones, high fiving victories and drowning in our sorrows on the losses.

Faulk was most balanced back I've ever witnessed. Could do it all. Break off a long one. Pick up the tougher short yardage plays. Line up wide and run routes better than most receivers with better hands than most receivers. Could stay in the backfield and protect against the blitz so Warner could find those talented receivers. Be a safety outlet when Warner couldn't find anyone downfield. Just a complete back. The only one I ever saw who could come close to that was Chuck Foreman with the Vikings. Not as good as Faulk, but the most balanced back of his time.

I knew there wouldn't be much debate about #29 but I thought this guy would still get some mention.

Check our McDonald's face mask, or lack there of. Those were some rugged men playing our favorite sport back then.

Notice in the 50's it was way more common to see players go both ways. D & O, but you know what I meant.

That last picture is why I'm just not too excited about the old blue and whites. Primarily, too much like the Colts but secondarily, having that third color just makes it look right. It helps that I don't have any sentimental attachment to that era.

No coincidence the Rams - Colt's swap out. Some owner involved loved that scheme. I'd love the B&W's for our throwbacks and this for our permanent. V V V V

I think that's the best possible scenario. Assuming of course, they get the fucking things right. The current throwbacks are NOT acceptable as regular uniforms.

Yeah, Nike's collar fetish is weird. Someone from the Rams had to okay this open-neck thing though so I don't fully blame Nike. Horns on the helmet need to be bigger, shoulder horns need to be wider, nike logo should be white. They aren't a million miles apart but those little differences are important.

To their credit, they got the leg stripe right. Would like to see the horizontal sock stripes back but I don't think modern players would like them.
