Not that his opinion on fashion means anything to me at all, but he didn't seem to have a problem wearing those brown and orange monstrosities in Cleveland. So I wouldn't believe for a minute that he'd have a problem with the Rams new unis.

I finally figured it out. Mayfield was signed bc MCV is pissed that after OBJ crashed his wedding and they held a locker for him until last week, and he hasn’t/won’t re sign. So MCV said, ef you I’m signing Baker just to piss you off. Lmao

Anybody remember the game in Cleveland, week 3 of 2019. We came close to losing that one.

I think the biggest reason Baker has not been more successful so far is his lack of maturity. IF his getting released has humbled him AND he knows his best chance to resurrect his career is sitting behind Mathew Stafford for a year or so, I think he could be our long-term answer. It's a longshot, but I don't see another team throwing big money at him now until/if he matures into a quality starter. THIS is the best landing spot he could have hoped for.
Who knows, when we got OBJ in here he was humble and even committed himself to blocking. I have to think they've already had a convo about our "WE not me" motto and how it translates into the locker room. I like this move a lot.

I like this pick up, immensely. I think he's worth a shot, much better than our other options, and wouldn't be surprised if he is next year's starter.

I think Staff's wife may put her foot down. He's got a beautiful family, he got that final notch on his gun handle...what's left? Does he really want to risk his noggin for a potential rebuilding year in '23?

I say the answer is yes. His head seems ok, his spine? Not so sure. But I think Stafford is back and hopefully feeling great by training camp, elbow included...

Sounds like the making of a gentleman's bet. Very well, sir, I accept your terms.

BTW, Jack, congrats on Cal (you bastards!) smoking Stanford, yet again, for The Axe. Hell, you drove Shaw right into retirement.

Agreed, we got a bet.

Man dark days for both of us really. You were our one highlight. I would to see a new regime (new athletic director), this one obviously cares little about Football or Basketball (0-9 currently). What an embarrassment.

In the past, Stanford has said that when they field a good football team, it is only because they lowered the academic requirements 1 to 3 years earlier to get better athletes.

I know one of the San Jose State Assistant Football coaches, and he is a good friend of Shaw. He said it was a mutual parting of the ways.
