Wow…talk about a belated thread bump.

You overheard talk about an elbow issue that never caused Stafford to miss a game and didn’t prevent him from leading the Rams to a championship. He had an injection for it and, by all accounts, he’s feeling better than he did at the end of last season.

Not sure you need to be risking injury by patting yourself on the back now but, hey… whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Clearly, it’s important for max to convince people he’s an “insider.” Whatever. He still started a thread asserting that Stafford had “surgery” this offseason (he didn’t). Guess maxie’s sources lead him astray on that one.

max: I was told Stafford is getting heavy treatment for his elbow.
AvengerRam: Stafford looks great to me so I call bs on max.

Confirmed - Stafford has had an elbow issue since last year.

max: Looks like I wasn't FOS about Stafford's elbow.
AvengerRam: Rams won the SB so it doesn't matter.

Except... I never called BS on you. I (1) asked you to reveal your sources, and (2) questioned the significance of the somewhat vague words you heard.
Confirmed - Stafford has had an elbow issue since last year.

Confirmed - since your report, Stafford did not miss a game due to injury. Rather, he started 9 more games and won 8 (including one that ended with confetti).
max: Looks like I wasn't FOS about Stafford's elbow.

Again... nobody said you were full of shit. The only thing that was questioned was the significance of the injury. Nothing that has happened since then is consistent with the term "major hurt," unless that term somehow means a lingering issue that has no impact on availability and little to no impact on functionality.

So, no... you haven't been vindicated. Rather, you've simply exposed yourself as a... what was PARAM's word... oh, yeah... needy person who craves an "I told you so" moment. Problem is, this isn't one.

Thanks for the comments on my 20 Random Thoughts thread, though! 8-)

wow is right.

At the time, the Rams were in the middle of a losing streak and no explanation for Stafford arm puts. iirc max overheard a possible reason at a game (which ended up being accurate) and he shared it. Not enough for an indictment of his character imo.

Our individual reaction(s) to that information is what it is. Each response should be looked at on an individual basis. Same with max's responses to those.
But why?
As long as we are civil about what we type and remove any personal agendas, we have good football conversation. It should never need to get personal just because we don't agree or don't want to hear something.

Problem is, you did not accurately describe what happened. We don't know if the elbow issue was related to Stafford's struggles, and nobody "indicted" max for reporting what he heard.

I know that you're trying to keep the peace, but you need to be honest here. There was NO REASON WHATSOEVER for max to dredge up this thread, and his sole purpose in doing so was to take a dig at people while "vindicating" himself (aka the "I told you so" game).
