Great post. You said exactly what I said. You took the words directly out of my mouth. Man something’s I just like. I like being able to rewind fast forward. I have been kept away from watching my Rams for years and now I can watch them.I'd pay $1k a year. I want to watch my babies in my home without going to a bar.And it really doesn't matter if they are wining or losing: I want to watch every single game no matter what. Yay. For me, I find it incredibly relaxing over the course of 3-3.5 hours, commercials, broadcast fluff, hang out with the family, all of it .. I would not enjoy constantly reaching for the remote to fast forward through things. But having said that, I can absolutely appreciate why others want that and not having it is a deal breaker. 1 by rams74 2 years 2 months ago Total posts: 1743 Joined: Nov 19 2015 Glendale, Arizona Pro Bowl The Future of the NFL on TV: Sunday Ticket to YouTube POST #428 actionjack liked this post RedAlice wrote:You all are cracking me up.I do not give a god damn about your DVRs or any other shit. But you're talking about access, not whether the technology is better or worse. Without access, the presentation of the product means nothing to you. I get it. Now you get access, so you're happy. That's fine, that's good. But for those of us who have had access for years, this is a step back, technologically. And we get to pay more for an inferior product. So, go ahead and laugh at us all you want, I'm happy to be a source of entertainment. Just don't confuse a discussion about technology, features, and presentation, with simple access. And for what it's worth, this did not really have to be an either/or type of solution. The only reason it is, is because the NFL wanted to maintain the exclusivity of this contract. For years, DirecTV was the ONLY source of Sunday Ticket. Now, it's YouTube. They could make everybody happy, but they're not going to. 1 by Hacksaw 2 years 2 months ago Total posts: 24523 Joined: Apr 15 2015 AT THE BEACH Moderator The Future of the NFL on TV: Sunday Ticket to YouTube POST #429 Over the decades we've gone from B&W TV with rabbit ears to 75" OLED UHD TV's with DVR's on a cloud. We've gone from a dial TV with 13 channels to 10' mesh parabolic dishes with rotors to DTV Dish / Streaming services.Snow to 5K+.I've enjoyed each and every Rams game on each and every platform. To Ram74's take, the DVR is a huge thing. I use to not only get ST for Rams games, but with fantasy football it has gone to whole another level. Now I truly watch several of the games. The ability to watch game, pause (skip to another game due to commercials) another game, switch back to your paused game, FF and back to action is amazing. We all have busy schedules as well, so DVR's a Rams game and joining it in progress and shrinking the game down to 1.5-2 hrs removing commercials is quite a benefit.
