Fanduels has an piece on how this might affect betting. If it throws all the betting towards the Saints then I hope Vinovitch is on the Vegas payroll. They don't want to lose millions like a few weeks ago.

Since this games head ref is Vinovich, but the rest of the refs are a mix from other crews, maybe there is less to be concerned about. But, not overturning the Hekker spot in the Saints game after McVay challenged, and it was obviously a first down, even to Mike Periera, still bothers me.

Flashbacks? Maybe that phantom call on Tom Mack over 40 years ago against the Vikings? Maybe the farce in SB36 when the nation needed an underdog team called the "Patriots" to beat the heavily favored Rams?

If there is anything to refs making a difference, I gotta think it would be in our favor this time around. The NFL would salivate over a KC/Rams rematch.

Money's been coming in on the Rams. Spread opened at 3.5, now down to 3...

The replay decision isn't made by the ref at the game. It's made by the consulting replay expert in NY...

and yet one more thing to worry about,ha ha - riveron (retired ref who is now in new york) makes the final replay decision, the buck stops with him, the rams were 0-5 in games he crewed (2000-2012), before he retired !

Rams coach Sean McVay, reminded that the last 10 conference championship games have been won by the home team: "Nice. So we shouldn't show up then, probably."

I didn't know that, but why are the head refs over staring at the monitor? And what happens when there are simultaneous Hammerstein multiple games?

Here's how the NFL explains it:
