I think it is not all on Goff, some definitely on McVay/play calling, some on his teammates not making plays, it is a small sample size, and I also think sometimes you just have to give the opponent credit for making the plays that you don't. So, EVERYONE needs to get better in those situations in order to win those types of games - rather obvious, no?

I am not worried about him at all in clutch moments; the more he faces, the better his percentages of success. But, I would rather not be in those situations in the first place.

FINALLY!!! A good response.

I do wonder about McVay's play calling in crunch time. I think he has had trouble in the red zone going back to his days in Washington, and I wonder if there is a correlation to crunch time. Thing is, while McVay is a phenomenal talent and brilliant coach he is extremely young. It should be expected that he will continue to get better at whatever weaknesses he has.

And thanks to the defense, that opportunity never arose

Wrong. That opportunity did arise and was wasted. I tried to explain it. I don't know how to explain it any clearer. I can only suggest re-reading it.

Dude, you're wrong. Rams didn't get ball back at 35-35. New Orleans scored to go up 38-35 after they tied it up

- rams score and make it 35-35.
- next drive saints kick a field goal and make it 35-38.
- next drive rams punt, first time after 4 consecutive scoring drives.
- next drive saints score a td and make it 35-45.
- next drive rams get the ball with 3:46 remaining and 2 timeouts, down by 2 scores.

the defense put goff and the the rams offense in a position to win it. twice.
goff and the rams offense failed. twice.
a real qb would have won it, goff's not there yet.

LOL. It's freaking unbelievable what some people *see* isn't it? I'd love to search back and see how many of them were happy with Bradford....or Clemens.....or Hill......or Davis......or Keenum.

I'm sorry, I don't understand this statement. Rodgers didn't have a reputation as a comeback king in previous years? Are you serious? Are you referring to Aaron Rodgers? Or Richard Rodgers?

Yes I am serious and the numbers back it. Some of us had this whole discussion in another thread where the numbers were provided.

That’s it in a nutshell.
