I'm all for it so I hope she's correct..

I could totally be wrong on the time line. But I agree. The sooner the better!

It's not about notice it's about the Rams deciding if they would wait until the new stadium opens which has always been their plan. But i don't think they planned on how big of a deal this was going to be to so many fans.

As for the blue and yellow, i never had any doubt about that...

NFL Constitution and Bylaws Article XIX 19.9

(D) No club shall have the right to make changes in its club colors and/or in the designs of its team helmets or uniforms except in accordance with the following provisions:

(1) Absent specific extenuating circumstances as determined by the Commissioner, if a club desires to make any changes in club colors, uniform appearance, designs of team helmets, designs of team uniforms, trademarks, or trade names, it must give written notice and details thereof to the League on or before March 1 of the year prior to the year in which it wishes to change; must comply with the uniform change notification and approval timeline as established by the League office and amended from time to time; and further must obtain approval from the League pursuant to Section 19.9(D)(2) by December 1 of the year prior to the year in which it wishes to change; otherwise it shall have no right to make any change for the succeeding season.

(2) Despite the provisions of the foregoing sub-paragraph (1) of this Section 19.9(D) and despite the fact that notice was given of the proposed change in the colors and/or designs of team helmet and uniforms as above set out, should such change, in the opinion of the Commissioner, result in any conflict with the club colors and/or helmet and uniform designs of any other club, and the clubs involved are unable to agree upon a method of solving such conflict, the Commissioner shall have the right to designate the club colors and/or the designs of the team helmet or uniforms to be used by the affected clubs in such season.

2002 Resolution G-3

Third, be it Further Resolved, that a Club may not change its regular home and away uniforms more than once every five NFL seasons, and may not change its third uniform design more than once every five NFL seasons, absent specific extenuating circumstances (e.g., Club ownership change or relocation) as determined by the Commissioner.

I'd always (thought I'd) heard it was 3 year notice from back in the StL days. I don't see that in the NFL bylaws. . Apparently just 1 year and approval the same prior year. So unless these other changes have kicked in Res G-3, it's apparently on the team for wanting to change when the new digs open. That also makes me think they are changing things up or they'd just roll out the Ferragamos.

The underscored in article 3 makes it seem very possible. Next year would be good.

Bylaws, schmylaws: those "rules" mean nothing. This comes down to the Rams front office not seeing the importance of the uniform color to many LA fans.

Like I said before they should have agreed to pay a "fine" to the league and compensate the license merchandise makers to get the Rams in Ferragamos full time last year or this year. Waiting until Inglewood just doesn't make sense.

It's never happened before. But a team has also never returned to their "hometown". (The Rams never played in Cleveland )

If you've ever gone car shopping I'm sure you've heard the line "What can I do to put you in this car today?" The Rams should have said basically the same thing to the NFL. "What can we do to change uniforms ahead of schedule?"

They should have said that LA Rams fans hate the navy blue/gold colors because they remind them of St. Louis and the bitch Georgia. This is a once in a lifetime situation and Aneglinos absolutely want the Farragamo royal blue and yellow back.

Like I've pointed out before the Rams surrendered votes, expansion money etc as part of the move to St. Louis. The Rams could have made the same deal to get the expedited uniform change. They could have been creative like offering extra visiting team tickets, luxury boxes, given a few million more in relocation fees etc.

Right, it never happened before.
So you take another one of your ignorant pot shots at Kroenke.
Good grief.
Rams are 8-3, stadium had a good crowd yesterday so you really need to make some shit up.

This was on my Twitter feed this morning.

I know the NHL 20 years ago is different than the NFL of 2017: but the St. Louis Blues partially transitioned mid season to new uniforms and made the full switch in one year. I also want to say the NY Islanders dumped their horrible "angry fisherman" jerseys of the mid 90's in the same timerame.
