No, I'm not a collector myself. But I admire the history and craftsmanship that goes along with those collector's items. If they are taken care of, many will be still usable 500 years from now. Your 44 Remington sounds like a piece of history, and must be a thrill to take to the range.

There ya go StL, looks like ya podunks out yonder raised your voice enough that other parts of the country heard ya'll....LOL Looks like ya'll have a moral victory and have got Stan to back down from the pressure over across the pond and in our country. I think ya'll can put this down as a W in the win column.

I don't think this had anyting to do with St. Louis. It was an issue in the U.K., L.A. was starting to talk about it, simply wasn't worth the potential PR problem in the cities with his two most valuable teams. Kroenke has way bigger fish to fry, so to speak...

First I had heard of it is when STL said it was all over St. Louey. So I am ok with giving his city the nod for raising their voice here first in our country. Odds are the story was probably picked up over the AP wire and who broke the story in the US I have no clue. So I think they can call it a moral victory since they are always on the look out for anything negative Stan.

As far as what made him change his mind I believe it is a global effort because you can go online and find petitions from all over. So I would say it is all the combined voices be they from wherever. Animal rights groups, concerned fans here and abroad. However personally like I said if I was the city of St. Louey I would count this as a moral victory since they were amongst the first in print to jump on it.

You are correct this would have been a headache and is easier to acquiesce instead of trying to dig into untenable ground

You're right. Mean ol' St. Louis picking on poor little Los Angeles once again. Because St. Louis is a highly regarded media capital that has so much sway on the rest of the county. (Or even the world.) From now on we'll try to stop picking on Los Angeles and Stan. You've all had it so tough. [/bitter sarcasm]

This was entirely about the British tabloid media and Stan's majority ownership of Arsenal while they have drama over there. I don't see how a crappy podunk city in flyover country had anything to do with this.

I wish St. Louis would have an effect on this story. At least we'd have some sort of solace. But you're giving entirely too much credit to a hick town that most Californians couldn't even find on a map.

LOL.....Well I am still gonna call it a moral victory for ya'll even if I be the only one, which I am used to that at this point in my life......LOL An heck St. Louey was never podunk to me my pops when my ma and him split lived in Herky or Herculaneum for those not from there. Now that was a hick town which I would visit to see him, but dang good fishing being right on the Missisip and Joachim creek.

An heck I am not a ya'll have had it so tough, I don't live in Cali nor have I well except when uncle Sam had stationed me there. Like Neil I live in God's country 7000 ft high in Colorado Spring, CO at the foot of Pikes Peak. I like snow and winter events to much to move where it is warm all the time.........LOL
