I am so excited about the current season.

Not sure I can watch this right now about last season while the memory of it is so fresh. It sucked.

amazon prime used to be absolutely awesome, but it has nosedived completely.... now just about any seller, it seems, can earn a "prime" designation from amazon, sellers who take a week+ to ship your stuff, sellers who sell open-box items as new, sellers who will fight you tooth and nail when it comes to returns, alas... moreover amazon/ ups are farming out their delivery service more and more, what once arrived in short order in two days or less by ups can now take a week or longer as some third-rate delivery service handles the last leg of the shipment.... free shipping? try "shipping cost added to purchase price rather than being itemized".... that said, because i've been a prime member since its inception i will probably continue to stick with it, the damn friggin' convenience of prime coupled with my laziness makes looking elsewhere, for an alternative, very unlikely... but, hey, for $100 or so a year it's pretty hard to go wrong given the streaming movies and music that's included with the prime membership....

glad prime has worked out well for you, hope it remains that way..... i use prime a ton, for my business, and personal to some extent, hardly a week goes by when i don't receive a prime delivery, often multiple deliveries, so it's been very easy for me to notice the change over the years, it's been dramatic really, and of course there's no shortage of similar views if you do a google search, alas...

back in the day i used to purchase all of my electronics from newegg, they were amazing with their super-fast delivery, but i migrated over to amazon and it was the same experience, but even better, lightening fast delivery, bigger selection, plus a return policy rivaled by none... but now it's so hit and miss, a flood of suspect sellers, kinda reminds me of what happened to ebay when it became a storefront for suspect sellers, offering marked up stuff with buy-it-now tags, preying on unsuspecting buyers thinking they got a deal because they purchased on ebay.

one thing that remains great about amazon tho, if a seller gives you the runaround on a product that you want to return, one call to amazon will fix it... i also dig amazon's customer service, i've heard/read folks complain about it before but i give it 5 stars.

in fact last week i had a prob with an order, the amazon guy i was connected to was in johannesburg (i always like to ask where the person i'm speaking to is located)... after he quickly fixed my prob i asked him what the folks there thought about gift ngoepe being the first african to play in the majors (for my buccos to be exact!), if it was a big deal there or just a news byte.

he said that it was huge news and source of enormous country pride, apparently he grew up near where ngeope was from, he couldn't say enough about how exciting it was to africans... before i knew it we were talking about everything south african, life after apartheid mostly, he spoke of the lack of real change, the enormous inequality black africans sill face, especially in south africa, the positive and negative impact of the internet and u.s. black culture on young black africans, i could have listened to the guy for days, so eloquent, so resolute, i told him to quit amazon and seek office... interestingly he identified himself as bantu, which i always thought was pejorative, but like south africa even that is very complicated.

I really can't get myself into the mood to come home and watch anything about last season under Fisher. That seems so past, and I am excited about forward.
