I knew teams would be targeting the Ram's scouting structure. Teams have noted how well the Rams draft, and how well things turned out for the Lions since hiring Holmes. It's the old success breeds success thought line. Coen is bent on duplicating what he saw in LA.

That is the problem when you have as much success as Snead and McVay. It's why I keep saying the key to the longevity of the Rams success is keeping McVay for as long as possible. The next best thing would be to not let go of his former roommate Shula. What people like Coen I hope realizes is that it's the synergy between McVay and Snead not simply their methodology that is necessary. They both have a similar vision of what they want to accomplish. But even without McVay the absolute key to building a team and maintaining it's roster is the GM. That was proven way back when Ozzie Newsome handpicked his successor and groomed DeCosta. It's why the Ravens have been good with Newsome and since his retirement 2018.

James Gladstone has been a key member of that GM inner circle of the Rams for the past 8 years. He was there for the mistakes and the cures which is important. He will be missed because the Jags would be fools not to hire him. I think Ray Farmer would be next in line for the role.
