People overlook the Saints because of their record. But a lot had to do with the HC having lost the confidence of the team.

If their roster stays healthy they can be competitive with most teams (Rams included). McVay's disdain for his kicker was on full display. His reluctance to kick a FG made the game closer than it had to be.

This could be a real problem moving forward. Every kicker goes through this. It's how the position is. Even veteran kickers get these dry spells. I think overall Karty can eventually become a quality kicker. It's only a matter of how long it will take. McVay isn't a patient man with some positions.

That said if the Rams can eck out a win next week they can run the table. It's not impossible because of how erractic the Bills can be. If they lose all is not lost but there is no margin for error because if they don't take the division they will need help to get in. Two more losses and IMO their season is done unless other teams suddenly start losing. In past years a 9 win team could possibly sneak into the bottom of the wildcard but I'm not so sure it's true unless they take the division.

Regardless the defense won this game and the Rams live on in the playoff race. Here is to hoping Allen gets food poisoning the night before!

The Bills are strong and their fan base travels well. If the Rams can get this one then anything is possible but they actually have to play the game. The Niners truly suck. Really don't know what happened in SF but they aren't winning anything. The Hags aren't a lot better. Beating the Saints was huge for the Rams making the playoffs. Just don't know how competitive they will be against the league's better teams.

The playoffs are just about who gets hot at the right time. It's not MLB or the NBA where you have to win a best of 7 series.

The niners are showing the affects of year after year of deep playoff runs and their team is old at key positions. LT, RB, WR and TE, and those old players are getting hurt.

The Rams had a lot going against them in this game, but pulled out another gritty game. The Saints were on a bye, on a two game home streak and playing good football. We stemmed the tied in the first half and dominated the second half.

KEEP running the ball especially against teams that have shown they cant stop it. Keep the o-line healthy, lets these 5 dudes gel!! Defense keep doing what you are doing, but get home more as the season finishes out, we will need it.
