I don’t think that’s quite what Pastoors said. McVay has acknowledged Stafford does want something, so we have to figure that much is right.

Well like I told ya, I am deaf in one ear. lol. How did you interpret it?? And when did MCV acknowledge that?? All I’ve heard him says is glad he is here and we’ll keep it all in house. My assumption is someone is asking for something. I want to hear/see him locked up and wanting to be here for the next 3-4 seasons. So I could certainly be biased in how I interpret things.

Not sure where this injury prone perception comes from. Stafford played 17 regular season games in 2021. And 4 post season games. In 2022 he was shut down after 9 games. It was a lost season.

They also shut down Donald and Kupp. Its possible Stafford and Donald woulda been playing if they were in contention. And Kupp mighta played if they made the playoffs. But no point when its a lost season like that one.

Last year he had a freak injury to his thumb when he hit it on a player's helmet. And he only missed a game and a half. That kind of injury can happen to the most durable quarterbacks. Goff missed a game with a similar injury.

In Stafford's last 13 seasons, out of the 211 regular season games his teams played he missed 18 of them. One was when the starters sat in a season finale. I would not call that an injury prone quarterback.

I'd say he's more of a risk due to his age. But his history has shown he can be available most the time. Not to mention he's one tough dude.

I'm half deaf in both ears so i guess that makes us about even. Ian Rappaport reported that Stafford wants more guaranteed money and here's some Jourdan on McVay's response to that report:

Stroud is right. Give Stafford what Rodgers had and he's got 3 or 4 rings. But though that would be great for #9, it probably would mean he's never a Ram. Selfishly, I like history just the way it's unfolded.

It all boils down to guarantee money.

He has three years left on his contract,

With an opt out in his 3rd year.

With only 31mil guaranteed,

and average of 15.5 mil for the next two years.

Watson has a 46mil per year guarantee.

everyone else is at 29, then 28, 27, 26, 25mil per year etc.

I think he would be happy for guaranteed money at 30mil per year this year and next year.

and taking his 3rd year option and making it guarantee after this next season.

To full fill his contracts.

He mentions in one of his videos, that he wants to win another two more SB,

or at least one more at a minimum.

That would guarantee for a first-time ballet gold jacket.

With the OL we now have, I feel the next two years is our chance to go to the SB,

Especially if AD comes back.

Yes, Snead/McVay left the door open for AD,

But, Stafford needs to get on his knees and begs AD to come back to do it for me,,,

please, please, please AD!!!! :D :D :D

I know AD feels the love by his teammates,

But a little begging doesn't hurt. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Ian Rappaport said Stafford wanted more of his remaining years to be guaranteed.

But with these new deals coming in, well he might want a bump now too.

He has a ring but the other guys have longer futures ahead of them which works in the Rams favor. You only have to make Stafford happy for another two years or so, not 5 or 10...
