Both these guys have been around the block (From Wikipedia):

Skura:

Baltimore Ravens
Skura was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2016.[3] He was waived on September 3, 2016, and was signed to the practice squad the next day.[4][5] He signed a reserve/future contract with the Ravens on January 2, 2017.[6]

On September 2, 2017, Skura was waived by the Ravens and was later re-signed to the practice squad.[7][8] He was promoted to the active roster on September 19, 2017.[9] He started 12 games at right guard for the Ravens in 2017 in place of the injured Marshal Yanda, missing two games due to a knee injury.

After Ryan Jensen departed in free agency, Skura was named the starting center in 2018, where he started all 16 games.

In 2019, Skura started the first 11 games at center before suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams and was placed on injured reserve the following day. The Ravens did, however, go on to win that game, 45–6. Skura's team would go on to finish 14-2 and lose to the 6th seeded Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round 28-12.[10]

Skura re-signed on a one-year restricted free agent tender on April 10, 2020.[11] He was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp on August 2, 2020.[12] He was activated on August 16, 2020.[13] In Week 10 against the New England Patriots, Skura's snaps led to three botched quarterback-center exchanges during the 23–17 loss.[14] He was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team on November 25, 2020,[15] and activated on December 4.[16]

Miami Dolphins
On March 19, 2021, Skura signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins.[17] He was released on August 30, 2021.[18]

New York Giants
On September 2, 2021, Skura was signed to the New York Giants practice squad.[19] He was promoted to the active roster on September 16, 2021.[20] On November 3, 2021, the New York Giants announced that Skura was in the COVID protocol.[21] On November 4, 2021 the New York Giants announced that Skura was cleared to return to practice.[22]

Los Angeles Rams
On September 21, 2022, Skura signed with the practice squad of the Los Angeles Rams.[23] He was elevated to the active roster on October 11, 2022.[24]

Aboushi:

New York Jets
The New York Jets selected Aboushi in the fifth round, with the 141st overall pick, of the 2013 NFL Draft. The Jets signed him to a four-year rookie contract on May 10, 2013; financial terms were not disclosed.[4]

Aboushi was inactive in 2013 for all 16 regular season games with the Jets. In 2014, he started 10 games after the starter was injured.[5]

Aboushi was suspended without pay (about $34,400) for the first game of the 2015 season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, in August 2015.[6][7][8] Aboushi was released by the Jets on September 15, 2015, one day after his suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy ended.[5]

Houston Texans
The Houston Texans claimed Aboushi off of waivers on September 16, 2015.[9]

Seattle Seahawks
On March 17, 2017, Aboushi signed with the Seattle Seahawks.[10] He started eight games at right guard before suffering a dislocated shoulder injury in Week 15. He was placed on injured reserve on December 13, 2017.[11]

Oakland Raiders
On July 28, 2018, Aboushi signed with the Oakland Raiders reuniting him with his previous year offensive line coach Tom Cable.[12] He was released on September 1, 2018.[13]

Arizona Cardinals
On October 23, 2018, Aboushi signed with the Arizona Cardinals.[14]

Detroit Lions
On March 14, 2019, Aboushi signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Detroit Lions.[15] On March 27, 2020, he re-signed with the Lions.[16] He was released during final roster cuts on September 5, 2020,[17] but re-signed with the team the next day.[18] He was fined $5,221 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness in Week 2.[19]

Los Angeles Chargers
On March 20, 2021, Aboushi signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.[20] He was named the Chargers starting right guard for the 2021 season. However, he suffered a torn ACL in Week 5 and was placed on season-ending injured reserve on October 12, 2021.[21]

Los Angeles Rams
On September 14, 2022, Aboushi signed with the practice squad of the Los Angeles Rams.[22] He was promoted to the active roster six days later.[23]

Yeah, I saw that, Jack. And it helps corroborate the argument that our OL isn’t good enough even if healthy. The injuries p, imo, just take it from bad to worse.

Chris Long said on the Rich Eisen Show that Stafford is now the Detroit Stafford. Meaning Stafford has no running game, one great WR, and poor pass pro. He’s taking a beating and he’s older. Long added that Stafford’s not physically as good as he was when he was the young Detroit Stafford. That all makes sense to me.

But back to the OL. It should be clear to even the biggest supporters of what McSnead did regarding assembling the starting OL this year that it wasn't good enough. Heck, my guess is McSnead realize now that they misevaluated.

But obviously, that’s all water under the bridge. The issue now is what can McSnead do to keep Stafford from getting badly damaged the rest of the year. Cause if they keep putting him out there for 4 quarters with no running game and no pass pro, they will be complicit in Stafford most likely incurring a career ending injury.

And oh yeah, we need to put thoughts about being a contender this year on the back burner.

Perfect post that covers the entire practical story.

I think it shows that Noteboom is not a guy that can be the man at LT. He may be able to start a game or two, as a fill in, but it is showing, that LT, is going to be a need. Especially one, for the future.

Sean McVay assesses Joe Noteboom's performance on Rams offensive line

Injuries on their offensive line have come to define the Los Angeles Rams’ season through five weeks. With a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers looming on Sunday’s schedule, it would appear that the team is positioning itself to do everything it can to mitigate the effect of its starters’ absence.

Head coach Sean McVay addressed what he has seen from one offensive lineman in particular on Wednesday, telling reporters that tackle Joe Noteboom is progressing well in the Rams’ system. Asked how he would assess the lineman’s performance through five games, he explained that Noteboom is on track with what the team expected of him heading into the season.

“I think it’s been some things that are in alignment with what we expect from Joe,” McVay said. “Then there’s some things that he could do at a higher level. I think he’d be the first to be able to tell you that. The consistency is something that we’re hunting up from all of our players. But the good thing is that you’ve seen enough positives over the course of Joe’s career to really be able to build on it. Let’s learn from those things. He still is a young developing player, but we want to be able to see that growth and maturation occur a little bit more quickly. I do have a lot of confidence in Joe that that will get done.”

A third-round pick by Los Angeles in the 2018 draft, Noteboom has started in almost 20 games for the Rams over the course of his young career. He is still just 27 years old, so it isn’t out of the question that he might continue to get better as he hones his technique and understanding of McVay’s offensive schemes.

As injuries to the front five are a key talking point ahead of the Rams’ Week 6 matchup, Noteboom may be thrust into a key role this week as one of the team’s most-tenured linemen. His performance is likely to make or break Los Angeles’ chances of getting back above the .500 mark.

I tend to agree. But certainly, Noteboom is a far cry from Whitworth. And therein lies the big problem. We’ve got nothing but below average to average starters on our OL. You can’t be competitive with that. You may be able to get away with a Noteboom if the rest of your OL is strong. We aren’t close to having that even when all 5 starters are healthy.

IMO, Whitworth hid a lot of our OL warts through his talent, performance, experience, and leadership. That’s all gone. They knew it would be gone. And thought they could get away with these guys. They thought Bruss was a steal that they could plug and play as a quality starter. They got that wrong.

Historically, one of the biggest mistakes teams have made in the draft is not capitalizing on the quality of a position that they don’t feel they need at the time, and then expecting to find the same level of talent at the position the next year. Snead knows this but somehow didn’t avoid the trap.
