Hope they are freeing up money for a DE. Also I guess Rams didn’t want to lean on two WR’s coming off ACL tears.

A sixth round draft pick in 2023 are you freaking kidding me? Snead must think Tutu, Skowronek ad Harris can contribute but to see Bobby Trees traded hurts a lot. If Miller can leave for the highest bidder regardless of loyalty I guess Snead can trade whomever he wants. This reminds us that it is all business in the NFL.

Few Ram fans like this but I gotta trust their process. I will ask, if you're gonna trade loyal team players like Trees, it better bring us another Lombardi.

PARAM wrote:The thing about trading Woods is he's an 8.6 mil dead money hit prior to June 1st with a savings of 7.1 mi (a net of negative 1.5). And if he were traded for another player, that guy's salary would be even more negative money. Unless the new guy is going to fill a dire need and not be too exensive it's a dumb move. Might be a dumb move in any scenario.

I think you are interpreting the numbers wrong. If he is on the Rams his cap hit is $15.7 M and if traded he counts as $8.6M on the cap, saving the Rams $7.1M in 2022 cap money.

Yeah, doh!! It's a net of +7.1.

Coming off a knee injury,

Then it all comes down to salary cap,

its better that we got something for him then having to cut him and get nothing.

Surprising to me that WR-deficient Green Bay nor Chicago never made a move on Bobby Trees. :?
His Salary Cap number must've been the fly-in-the-ointment, because both teams could use a productive WR, stud-runblocker, and team leader like Woods.

Fare thee well Robert Woods! :!2:
You were a selfless class act for Los Ramos as far as this long time FanOfTheHorns is concerned!! :idea2: :arrow2: 8-)

Glad you got your SB ring with us Mr. Woods!! ;)

Bag of Cheetos was my comp. I don’t get it. Even if they do sign OBJ he won’t be ready until November at the earliest. They better pray Harris, Skow, and Tutu really develop. Robinson is basically a bigger, less explosive version of Woods. He can line up in the backfield. And I believe he blocks well.

Maybe the ACL issue wasn’t as good as hoped???

Shaking my head on this. If it was money, restructure his deal no??
