Based off the eight players we drafted today.

I say we will have one plug and play player,

That will be our RG/Bruss...

The rest of the seven players will be training for their position for the future and playing ST....

While a few of the DBs will possibly get some rotational playing time after a few games.

Time for OTAs to begin..... :D :D :D

I think the RB has a chance to contribute from Day 1.

Interesting comments from McVay on the OLB position. We know Floyd is set. Hardy is a guy who plays special teams. TLew: 'did some nice things'. Hollins: 'has played really well....'. Garrett: 'interested to see him in his 2nd year'.

Read the tea leaves or read between the lines?

Hardy is a guy who may force TLew or Hollins' Rams career to end because of their lack of availability. I think they're really excited about Garrett.

It seems this regime is very interested in versatility. Durant and Kendrick can play outside or slot. Lake and Yeast can play S or slot. Burgess was supposed to have that ability. All along the O line they like the ability to play G AND T and cross-trained guys as such. They tried it with Noteboom but clearly he's a much better tackle than G. I think Evans is the same. Anchrum? Haven't seen much of him but coming in, Dabo said he can play anywhere on the O line. Shelton can play C or G. Edwards can play T and maybe he's better there than at G but we've just needed him at G more.

I like their approach. We've been accused of "buying a SB" by some fans. A Dream Team, if you will.

But counting our starters, we have 13 guys we drafted. 14 if Bruss starts in 2022. 15 if Rochell starts. Havenstein, Donald, Higbee, Kupp, Noteboom, Allen, Gaines, Edwards, (Scott?), Fuller, Akers, Jefferson and Jones. Plus we have some good depth via the draft. Howard, Henderson, Rapp, Long, Evans, Hopkins, Garrett, Rochell and T. Lewis. These guys have done a great job building this roster. And that's before you look at the record (55-26) or the postseason and SB (7-3).

Plus we've had draft picks (some starters) who've left via free agency and got decent deals. Everett, Johnson, Reynolds, Ebukam, Franklin-Myers, SJD and Obo. That's some good drafting.

I don't think I've ever paid so little attention to an NFL draft. Both regarding "my" team and the NFL in general.
