faulkrram wrote:I disagree that the Rams will get rolled by the Packers. The Packers play in a soft division, and if you've watched them this year that Defense isn't exactly breaking limbs. If Green Bay chooses to try and bull the Rams with their running game that keeps Adams and Cobb off the field, I don't see Rodgers just handing the ball off the entire game. And when he does drop, we need to break Him...Hard....The Offense can score against the Packers, if you want to say how similar the Rams and Packers are I'm with you. Both have had powder schedules and struggled against the better teams. Packers lost the 1st game to the Saints - after that ran off wins against Lions Whiners Steelers Bungles Bears Washington. Their best win was against the Cardinals 24-21, they then lose to the Chiefs 13-7 with the chiefs Defense worse than ours, then they followed that up with a win against the Hags. The OT game they almost blew against the Bungles shows that the Pack isn't even close to Power House label they are receiving. The Rams are fully capable of shutting down Rodgers just as the Saints Chiefs and Bungles did, so I have plenty of optimism the Rams will get it done. I'm not confident in our Defensive coordinator as he's been stymied 2 straight weeks. Hopefully Mckvay steps in to add his innablities .

Agreed, the Rams can play with the Packers, but just need to get back to basics and earn it.
I expect a focused effort on the Rams part.

IMO in the Titans game the turnover killed us and the protection was bad. The defense IMO played well enough

IMO against the niners the team just wilted. The defense was terrible and Stafford was off, tons of drops and we clearly missed Woods.

Run the ball and get back to being physical and USE play action. I think McVay will self scout during the bye and get this right. But again run the damn the ball.

The Packers have been the better team by a good deal. That summation omits some key points and completely glosses over who the Rams beat vs who the Packers beat. If Rodgers plays the covid game they win that one too.

Yes sir, the Rams for sure were out played by the Whiners and no excuses as they were no shows. The Titans game is a different story. Even after the INT's and quick lead by theTitans, the Rams scratched and clawed back but each time they were going to change the momentum, here comes Mr referee stopping their momentum. What was it? 12-15 penalties that night against the Least penalized team in football " Up until that game?". The most glaring of course was the Personal foul so called push, I mean roughing the passer penalty that they called on Donald that kept the drive alive for tenn. That happened all night, and was the worst called game all season , and just some how were mostly all called against the Rams. They made sure the Titans won that game.....

I never like to use the referee card but that game was ridiculous. The conspiracy theorist in me noticed as soon as ESK told the NFL he would no longer indemnify them in that StL lawsuit, the referees became our enemy (Tennessee game.) Of course I know it's unlikely.
We got beat pretty bad twice and it's creating a lot of pessimism. Losing Woods is huge. Doom everywhere. Then I remember we were playing really well before we met those 2 teams that match up very well against us.
I still wan to think we're gonna win 4 or 5 more games this season and be in the playoffs. Just my gut. I may be wrong but I can't wait to find out.

I'm with you Hack. I refuse to have doom and gloom when the team has 7 wins. Colts game on the road was a big win, Beating Brady was another good win. The Hags in Seattle was a good win. Back to the Packers, and how they automatically are awarded that fluff schedule because their division is weak. They had the luxury of running into a poor Steelers team, Washington, the Lions, Da Bears. They have won the games they are suppose to and so have the Rams. Looking at our schedule before the season, you could count at least 1 division loss to both the Whiners and Hags and possibly the Cards. The Titans was another game that we knew would be rough, Packers , Ravens, etc. The Packers who made it to the NFC Championship game play the Lions twice, Da Bears and Vikings. They worry about losing to the Vikings once and maybe da Bears. The Rams end up with a far more difficult schedule even though the Pack made it further, then why is the game in Lambeau? NFL has plenty of favorites and L.A. is not one of them....Hopefully somehow Mckvay can bring a Us against the world mentality instead of "All In"

Completely agree, the refs have been particularly bad the last 3-4 weeks league wide.

What's going to happen in the postseason? This taunting bullshit is subjective and might cost some team a chance to advance? That would suck. Let's face it, the NFL is a league of trash talkers. Hell it's been said Rivers was the biggest of all time. It's an emotional game. Talk? Let it go. Visual.....standing over somebody, pointing in their face, gesticulate towards them.....flag it. But the casual stuff? Come on man, there's no need for a flag there.

Maybe the NFL powers should have sat down and thought a little bit more on some changes. Perhaps they wouldn't have arrived at "what this league needs is a lot less taunting and a little more gambling! Let's flag the guys who talk shit and partner with Draft Kings. What does it matter? We're in Vegas now baby".

For sure, and they made sure they chose to enforce rules that were arbitrary and could easily be interpreted like ( Taunting) or un necessary roughness. All calls that Harrah's could give them a quick jingle to correspond in.
