Mr.St.Louis and RamsFanz made a thread about me on ROD where they called me a Hooker because I had him banned on an Arizona board they were trolling. And all ROD posters laughed at it and supported him. Including X.

That's horrible. Absolutely horrible.

I don't ever recall seeing this thread. I had no idea so many had so many bad experienes at that site. very sorry to hear about this.

I am with aeneas1 on this...

John Shaw snookered those Missourian rubes back in 1993-94 into that Top 25% Tier of NFL Stadia clause....and the rest is legal Contract history! This stuff about "$700 million being a pie-in-the-sky number from Kroenke to put the Eddy Dome renovation price tag out of reach for St. Louis taxbase" is more hometown emotional nonsense. That $700 million price tag was resultant from an Arbitration Process......with blueprints, costs, engineering reports, etc etc. regarding the Top Tier NFL Stadia already built around the league. Georgia's henchman got St. Louis to sign a very one-sided Contract....so jilted St. Louisians should blame Georgia and Shaw.....AND THEIR NEVEILLE CHAMBERLAIN NEGOTIATING TEAM OF 1993-94!!

Kroenke spoke the "victim" word......but it is embittered St. Louisians who are playing the victim card now.

Having said the above.....we Vancouverites were hustled by a Chicago guy back in 2001, when Michael Heisley took the Vancouver Grizzlies NBA Franchise from us and moved it to Memphis, Tennessee. Ironically, the Grizzlies were going to be sold to St.Louis Blues Owner Bill Laurie for $200 million, who was going to move the Grizzlies to St. Louis, but the NBA blocked that move .....and so the Orca Bay Sports owner (then the parent Company of the Vancouver Canucks NHL Team and the NBA Grizzlies) John McCaw, took a $40 million haircut and sold the Grizzlies to Heisley for $160 million, and he moved them to Memphis.

Of course we all felt insulted by the move.....but we got over it. To wit....to quote the late great Rodney Dangerfield...

"What? Basketball? Are you kidding me? Ten oversized guys with pituitary gland issues running around sweating on a parkay floor for three hours??!! HeII....just give both teams a hundred points and let them play for two minutes!!!"

See how well we Vancouverites got over being jilted by a Basketball mogul!!??

The reason John Shaw was adamant about the top tier clause being part of the lease was because of the market they were leaving to move to the smaller market. He understood that if the team did not continue to have a top tier stadium in St. Louis the move from Los Angeles would handcuff the team financially for years to come.

Thomas Eagleton who was the point man for St. Louis a former Senator and VP candidate in 1972 for a New York Minute agreed to such demands because they were building a stadium with no team because they lost on their expansion bid when they felt they were a shoe in.

I am referring to the actions of StL posters for the last four years before our game on other team's boards.

I wouldn;t know anything about that. I do know St. Louis posters who did nothing like that, and I have known them for years. My point is you can't generalize about all St. Louis posters. What I have seen is different from what you have seen. I know that for certain.

Well, my experience was supported and encouraged by one of the largest Rams Boards at the time: ROD.

eta: I am not talking about all StL posters. Just the few who have posted against me on other teams boards and called me out as an "LA" fan and not a true fan of the Rams.

They constanlty called me not a 'true" Rams fan because I would not troll other teams. and, ROD supported them on this. I was called a hooker and worse, and X had a few choice words to support this trolling.

Since I really don't care about what happens in STL anymore, and have deleted all my connections to anything STL Rams related, I wasn't even going to read this thread, but I was bored so I did.

The only thing I feel strongly about is the sleeze that exists on ROD. I'm sure there are some very nice posters over there, but that X guy and his buddy whatever his name is are pure phony thieves. I think most of the posters on this board know how I feel about them from previous posts, but I just wanted to warn the new posters here to stay away from them. ROD is a disgrace to Rams fans everywhere.

For the last year or so, since Kroenke purchased that land and the dream was put in to motion, I have been completely immersed in the relocation effort. To me the season was almost a distraction from the subject.
as time passed I became more and more passionate about the return to LA.
Lost sleep that last week waiting for the outcome. And then when the final verdict came in? I was up all night. Haven't felt this excited since the Rams won the Super Bowl.
I post predominately on 3 boards and check out the PD just to laugh at the dysfunction.
Well since the morning after, I have been riddled with guilt when I've gone on RRF or ROD. As much as I enjoy seeing Bernie and Shane suffering as well as the yokes on the PD like that hofikebruce and such, I didn't expect the disappointment from my "friends" to hit so hard. See for me, I have no equity and these guys like Goose and RMFN who support the team, go to games, they have the real equity and I feel terrible in there presence.
So to each their own IMO. Whatever folks feel is their right. Of course time will heal some wounds and perspectives will change.
So in the end, I'll save my gloating for here.
And with that, Lets Go Los Angeles Rams!!!!

ZN- you really need to practice what you preach. A couple of pages ago you said this: "I am not going to preach to anyone. Just stating how I personally feel. My own opinion is, this is one issue on which everyone should just let everyone else speak their mind to their heart's content and not fight over the details", but you continue to critique, and question her comments about her experiences at other Rams boards. Let her voice her opinion and vent.

First, what I said I didn't want to preach about was how people respond to the move. And I didn't preach about that. I didn't say to anyone "you just have to sympathize with St. Louis posters who are hurt by this." And I didn't "critique" anyone's comments, I just said that my experience on the net was different. I did not question the other poster's experience, I said mine was different. As far as our interaction, we were fine and in the end each said "that's fair" to the other. That;s how it's supposed to go. There's nothing to criticize here.

ROD is suffering right now, but I was always impressed by you max on the herd board....You were one of the few that kept posting about the relocation and many would try to shut you down. The one poster on the Herd I remember was "Tackledummy" He kept posting there was no way they would relocate, constantly and every post was negative towards LA....Well, I have been on that board and I see nothing from him and others too who should be posting that they were wrong and not that Kroenke sucks, but I guess it's just par for the course.

Again max thanks for carrying the torch on that board.

There was continuous "lectures" from certain posters at PD's RamsTalk I will not miss. I was hoping they would not filter their way into other Ram forums. Now it looks like they may. Only thing missing for now is their change in the color font they are using in here.

Much of the same for me. I was exclusively RRF and now exclusively here. I agree about the excitement. It's all I can think about 24-7 since the news. It's driving my wife crazy.

I DO feel bad for the kids that were attached to the team in STL. I DO feel bad for those that were HEAVILY invested in their team. I understand they had their hearts ripped out. I choose not to go to the RRF board now because to me the fans that are emotionally where I am are on this board.

I just can't get over the STRONG sensation that this is like being back with long lost friends. I too am as happy and excited to be Rams fan since January of 2000.
