In McVay I trust as well!

BUT...
I don't think McVay looked at the lost 2019 season as just "one or two plays."

If he had, he wouldn't have chopped his DC, ST staff, RB Coach, Strength Coach, and that Fisch guy.

To me, McVay did that housecleaning because he adheres to the Bill Parcells axiom of:
"you are who your record says you are!"

McVay recognized there were underlying problems with his coaching staff & their 2019 production...hence the new blood with O'Connell and Staley and the Detroit paesano guy for STs, etc etc

I think McVay also recognized that there were production issues with some of his high profile players as well!
I mean, when you jettison ProBowl types like

Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, Dante Fowler, Corey Littleton,
and vet starters like Brockers, Clay Mathews, Robey-Coleman, Weddle, AND TODD FormerFaceOfFranchise GURLEY …..UM.....that's a lot of high-priced football bodies right there sportsfans!!

…...you do not make wholesale changes like ALL of those above. if you thought you lost out on the 2019 Playoffs due to one or two bad-luck plays.

To me, McVay lost faith in some of his people......so they are now gone!

You don't bring in all brand new Co-Ordinators for D, O, and STs if you think you were only SO close last year.

well if gurley has success with the falcons he can join warner in saying that he considers himself an ex-falcon the way that warner has said he considers himself an ex-cardinal, and when he talks about the falcons after he retires he can refer to them as "we" as warner continues to do with the cards.

Sounds like he liked it here but is PO'd at the org. Perhaps extra PO'd to show so little respect for his former employer outloud. I wish I could find the fly that was on the wall and ask what really went down. But at first blush he needs to STFU.
