No, Grubman said that the NFL considers that team money.

So Stan is to pay 550 mill and give up 161 mill in PSL

Total- 711 mill for Stan

For a tier 2 stadium he doesnt want.

Oh and its nice to see ths sticker price is over 1.1 billion now

And now thanks to his buddy Jerry Richardson he gets to pay $1.5 million a year rent instead of $700k.

"From @davidhunn: The NFL came to STL to offer another $100M in exchange for the team not having to pay the amusement tax."

There's a lot of ambiguity in this

Information came from whom? Did the committee actually say they would do this? If this is Richardson and the LA Spanos committee again it's not as bad as it appears. If its the league executives that's a different story.
The story is clearly being put out there before the boa vote on purpose. JR istrying to get them to pass it. By getting approval he feels Kroenke will be stuck in St Louis and Spanos gets his way. To that I say, to hell with Spanos and Richardson.

I know I shouldn't be shocked but it's astonishing the amount of people in St Louis that are celebrating this $100 million hahaha. They think it's a done deal and that it's a good thing. They have no concept that their overall package offered to the Rams just took a sharp turn from bad to absolute garbage. Stan gets the revenue that they claimed provided $110 million a year and in return he gets to pay an extra $800 a year in rent! I'm speechless!

There are so many moving parts to that. Who controls the NFL money? Where does the 100 mill even come from?
How much amusement tax gets collected annually?
Do they spin that 100 mill to be "public" funding? Does it replace another source?

My head is spinning trying to comprehend this.

Why would Stan be behind this? More private contribution via the G4 and more rent so he can pocket the amusement tax? Makes ZERO sense.

No, this smells of Richardson and the committee trying to massage their favorite ending. Getting the BoA to pass does a lot to block Kroenke.

Look at the exhibit, the G4 loan is now 300 million, not 200 million, there's the 100 million. All along it's been 450 million from the NFL/ESK with 161 in PSLs, now it's 550 million and 161 million.

So it comes to paying back the RSA. Before, it was coming from this amusement tax, that the NFL was claiming should be earmarked for the team. However, the RSA will be paid back now by team rent (that has increased to 1.5 million from 700 k) as well as I assume a much smaller share of the amusement tax.

Also, the total budget is now 1.1 billion, not 1.01 billion.

It's interesting that the Carson Team has been very active and Kroenke hasn't made one move to his advantage over the past few months.

Just go Rogue, Baby.

If Stan feels these owners (Richardson/Spanos) are trying to stick it to him, doesnt that increase the likelihood of him going rogue?
