Fill in from Daniel Kaplan on St. Louis radio this morning:
-either Kroenke or Spanos was unable to do their deposition because they were sick with COVID.
-the damages from the tiger team effort look to be highly in St. Louis’ favor
-but further damages from the League or other teams will be very doubtful
-nobody is looking to settle
-the NFL will grind this out for years. They have a concussion related lawsuit now in its 10th year.

He specifically said it was left out of reporting because it couldn’t be confirmed: but that the owner’s lawyer made the claim of the COVID sickness in the open court Zoom call.

Again, how has this joke of a lawsuit not been thrown out of court yet? “Hometown” judges who were Rams season ticket holders or just pandering for votes?

St.Louis and the CVC lost all exclusivity with the Rams when the Rams legally exercised their opt-out due to the colossally stupid top-tier clause. Any money St.Louis or the CVC spent without a new contractual agreement with the Rams was again colossally stupid on their part.

St.Louis and the CVC acted and negotiated as if the Rams had no choice but to accept what they dictated to the Rams. NFL Relocation “Guidelines” are not laws or contractual obligations and those guidelines are for the NFL approving a move, not for St.Louis to believe they had some sort of “blocking rights” to a move

Last time I checked the US Supreme Court wasn't a St. Louis based "hometown" court.

The U.S. Supreme Court was only asked to review the issue of whether the dispute was subject to private arbitration, and declined to do so. It did not consider the substantive merits of the case, which is essentially a contractual dispute. That will be decided in a Missouri state court.

True. But I'm simply disputing the accusation the fix is in by crooked St. Louis judges who were voted in.

Judges at that level are appointed, not voted in here.

Does it really matter if they were “voted in “ or “appointed “?

The fact that they reside in St. Louis raises the question of their bias.

The case is questionable at best. Several posters mentioned cities losing their football team.

Absolutely no precedent in favor of St. Louis. They didn’t uphold the lease agreement signed.

They just cried foul more than the previous cities.

Bunch of team stealing whiners IMO.
