You sound like a guy who is trying to convince himself that the Rams did the smart thing the way they address the OL.

Sorry, I ain't buying it. The damn mess is staring us right in the face.

He doesn't call plays.
He doesn't design the gameplan.
He holds meetings?
Installs McVay's game plan?
He makes coffee?

And a mess it is. I almost can't wait for free agency and the draft and hearing your views on both.

At least you’re here toughing it out. I respect that.

Some guys run like sissies when things they said look bad.

PARAM wrote:So Coen is the scapegoat? I don't buy it. McVay has the sheet in his hand. He holds it up to his face. And he calls the plays.

Meetings? Game planning? If somebody thinks McVay isn't heavily involved in all that, they haven't been listening to him the last 6 years.

The article doesn't just point at Coen. It does speak to the constant poaching every year and last year was bad. Some of the areas where the Rams are struggling are manned by new coaches. That was one of his points.
He also mentions the Oline as a culprit.
He never said Coach McV wasn't calling plays.
One of the biggest mysteries on the Rams coaching staff and the offense in particular is who is responsible for what. This is McVay’s offense and the Rams head coach calls the plays. However, how much of a role does offensive coordinator Liam Coen have in the offense?

He merely questions about Coen.
I'm not defending his take. I'm not disagreeing entirely either.
Tough read overall.

turfshowtimes is a fanzine written by people like us. Cam at ramswire might be a slight step above that but not by a lot.

BTW, Coen was a Rams coach 2018-2020 and was then, poached by UK.

You know some folks just don't want to argue. Others might simply disagree and leave it at that.

True. Thing is, there are also others who will imply that you’re stupid until it’s proven that they were wrong. Then, rather than man up they run and hide. That my friend is a sleezebag move.

But, my main point here was to commend PARAM for being a stand up guy.

Sorry if I couldn’t resist pointing out the contrast.

Oh, I ain't going anywhere. Been watching the Rams every Sunday for the last 26 years. Seen a lot of losing there but I'm calloused to that. The SB wins negate everything. Prior to getting NFL ticket, it wasn't as easy. But been a fan forever and nothing can affect that.
