Dick84 wrote:Goff threw for 78 yards in the first game.
But was playing under a tremendous amount of duress.. notice I'm not jumping on him for that performance?
I am jumping on him for the interception, which was fucking awful.
You know who else thinks it was fucking awful? Goff.

"The pick six -- I'm gonna think about that for a long time," Goff said. "That's a mistake I can't make in that situation. I was just trying to get rid of the ball, and I knew it was man (coverage)... and I just can't make that mistake. I think you learn from mistakes, and that's one I feel like I won't make again -- but it's one that I should never have made to begin with."

Goddamn.

You know who else has repeatedly said the INT was awful?
This guy

Nobody denying that
Just clear as day that the Rams are only in that game, ahead in that game and come back from behind in that game BECAUSE of Goff

i think mcvay/snead should go after cousins in the offseason, with 5 minutes remaining in tonight's must-win if we want a shot at first place game he's completed 50% of his passes for a 57.4 qb rating in front of the home crowd while leading the vikes to 10 points.... my twin bro must be puking right about now (he's a huge, lifelong vikes fan).

/zn/ wrote:He doesn't have to be perfect. And in fact "not throwing a pick 6" taken just in itself would be far from perfect anyway. I think Goff struggled with an unstable OL much of the year and the result was a 19 to 16 TD to INT ratio, when last year's 32 to 12 ratio was of course much better. I think he can do better with turnovers and I think he will.

I think we will see more of this next year:

That last roll out pass :shock2: .. Drops a dime. Love the slide in the pocket. Goff really brought it ! Looks like he missed Woods for a longer gainer though...

geeze.. is this really a solid debate?

goff is not the problem... he is off the charts accurate...

for those that don't get it.. other factors contribute to his mistakes....

sam bradford is the qb that should get all of this scrutiny, not JG...

Dick84 wrote:Lol.. The D held SF below it's season average at home.. got six sacks and two ints. The only reason the Rams were in the game was because the D held it's end of the bargain. See how easy that nonsense is? .

not really sure what you think this means?

at levi the seahawks held the niners to 16 offensive points, the falcons held them to 22 offensive points, the steelers held them to 24 offensive points, but you're impressed that the rams held them to 27? had the niners averaged 50 at home, would you have been impressed if the rams held them to 46?

honestly, i just don't get your take - giving up 27+ offensive points sucks, it's not getting the job done, the panthers have given up an average of 27 offensive points per game and they rank 31st in offensive points allowed, only the dolphins are worse... on the other hand scoring 31 offensive points, especially against a top 3 defense in points, on the road no less, doesn't suck.

The turn overs may have masked what might have been a more lopsided score.

SF is playing well and the 50-50 balls are bouncing their way, , but the Rams created some serious havoc in their house. D was mauling and JG rolling was confounding the rush and he was throwing dimes.
Unfortunately even to the other guy, , , again. :?
