And Ty N looked good on his few snaps. But like PA said, and I agree, whichever combo, let’s hope they play well and gain chemistry, cohesion, and confidence to perform well now and better as the season progresses. It’s really our last hope. Then have to hope no more injuries on the OL. Not ideal, but hopefully much better than it’s been. At least now and with Edwards coming back, we should have better overall talent and depth than we’ve had since the beginning of the season. by Hacksaw 2 years 8 months ago Total posts: 24523 Joined: Apr 15 2015 AT THE BEACH Moderator The O line POST #322 Well if these punting stats are any indication of the offense's proficiency, they are trending the wrong way.Dixon's numbers through the 1st 8 games. Per request from the RAMs Coaching staff not giving out info from practice, From Jourdan's tweet, trying not to give out info, but stating that he could play either side, looks like they are going to play him at LG and keep Brewer at RG.I just dont get why didn't the RAMs tried to sign Ereck Flowers. He is available and he is an experience Vet, that knows how to play inside. Yes, he was drafted by the Giants at LT, and never suited in that position,Once he went to Washington and played with them on the inside, He was outstanding compared to LT. Flowers is a FA, its not like he is on a team, and the RAMs are tampering, Not a peep from the RAMs FOIsn't CMC's salary for 2022 in SF something like 1.1 million? The rest was guaranteed already paid by Carolina. Actually I just checked OTC and they have his 2022 cap hit as $690,000. So that's a bad example by you. Like I asked, if Flowers is so good why hasn't ANY team signed him? He was released in March a couple of months after being reinstated ( because of covid---unvaxed?). Something isn't right there. He's been on 4 teams in 7 years (5 if you count 2 tours with Washimgton) and the last time he was traded, it was for a SWAP of 7th round draft picks. He was cut this last time because of his $10 mil cap hit despite the team trying to negotiate a more cap friendly extension. Is his agent (Rosenhaus) asking too much? Or is he seeking a multi-year deal? Strange he's not in the NFL.Here's an article on Flowers that says "coming out of Miami he had issues with technique and coachability". He was released by the Giants because he wasn't a good OT on either side. He signed 4 days later with Jax and then signed a 1 year deal with Washington, who moved him inside. His play at OG earned him a 3 year deal with Miami but after 1 year, they traded him back to Washington for a swap of 7th round picks. Odd? He played the season with Washington but was released when they couldn't amicably restructure his deal signed with Miami (10 mil cap hit for 2022). Either he's talented but resistant to coaching...or...he's not talented enough to earn good money. A catch-22? Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. A catch-22?My bad on CMC Salary, I must of looked on the wrong line and saw 11mil/ from spotrac, but we have players who could restruct their contracts also. What ever went wrong in Miami, I don't know, I just look at the tapes, while in Washington and Miami. When we played Miami in 2020,Flowers played pretty good, going up against AD, & Brockers. He has excellent feet on the inside, He can pull for a big man, He can cover the second level after making a double block. This man is way better than everyone we have that could play on the inside,Including our OL players on IR that could come back for next year. Why he hasn't been signed by other teams,Is it because of him not being vaxxed? I don't know and I don't careCause there's plenty of players in the league that are not vaxxed. But what I do know, from watching tape, He is way better than anyone we have. Wasn’t sure how they would set it the guards but makes sense to keep Brewer where he graded out well and Shelton, who has moved around some already, on the left side. I think we see a much better OL performance, especially in the run game. by PARAM 2 years 8 months ago Total posts: 13221 Joined: Jul 15 2015 Just far enough North of Philadelphia Hall of Fame The O line POST #325 69RamFan wrote:I just dont get why didn't the RAMs tried to sign Ereck Flowers.Maybe they did?
