This is what happens when the players make so much money that it goes to their heads. Or the players didn't like Tice's coaching.

Sounds more to me that Tice is blaming the players instead of himself, not very McVay like that's for sure...

It could well be that, at least with Tice's style of coaching, “players today don’t want to be coached.” But if Tice is unable, or unwilling, to adapt, then he probably is better off retiring. And no, it's really not a McVay-like attitude.

the patriots ranked 1st, 3rd and 5th in offensive scoring during the 3 years mcdaniels left town, cumulatively they ranked 1st for the 3-year stretch while posting a 37-11 record (no team posted a higher winning percentage during that time)... in short you have to wonder just how much mcdaniels brings to the table, beyond his immaturity.

He did a lot of that during the 2017 season ... he also caused a rift in 2016 between Jack Del Rio and Bill Musgrave. Tice wanted 100% of the credit for the 2016 O-Line and the offensive coordinator got most of the press.

Tice is a great at coaching a power blocking O-Line, but he is a cancer when it comes to being a team player.

Maybe if Jeff Fisher ever gets a HC job again he will talk Mike Tice out of retirement. And they can play 7-9 football together.
