Not sure why some of your pics aren't showing up, Den. Walsh and Covington aren't there. Which is sort of symbolic.

But I remember feeling like the Steve Walsh "era" would never end. Chris Miller just couldn't stay healthy and the Rams had drafted Tony Banks but wanted a vet to bridge the transition. Steve Walsh was it and his arm was a wet noodle by that time. Hard to believe he actually kept Aikman on the bench for a short time.

'82 - '90, K Mike Lansford

I like "barefoot" Mike who wore # 1 all but his first season in '82,, so he will be back the day before camp.

It's no coincidence that I always get A.J. Feely and Rob Johnson confused. Two of the top contenders for biggest pretenders of all time.

Another bad decision by Steve Ortmayer and Rich Brooks could of had Randall Cunningham instead of the lollipop kid in Steve Walsh, but they out thought themselves and went in the wrong direction and thus both ended up in Kentucky because of it.

I'm jumping the gun but here's #1 barefoot Mike. He's been part of the bring back the Rams movement.

Love Feely with the fear and cheat sheet on his wrist, both inspire a lot of confidence.

I think some pictures don't show up when you link to them. Not every site wants their material shown on other sites via link (a hotlink) and so they block hotlinking. At least that could be what's going on...

Well, Napoleon Dynamite's uncle would have been better than Steve Walsh but not getting Cunningham isn't something I hold against them.

Now, had they drafted Randy Moss in addition to getting Randall Cunningham, that would be one thing. But Randall was retired and for good reason. True, he had that incredible season but it was a fluke and without Moss, he would have been garbage. So, hypothetically with the Rams, I don't see him doing anything more than Walsh did.

It just wasn't a good time to need a QB. Tony Banks was the first QB taken in '96 and that was in the middle of the 2nd round. The cream of the rest of that draft was Bobby Hoying and Danny Kanell. The year before, Kerry Collins and Steve McNair were off the board when the Rams picked and the guys that were left were Todd Collins, Kordell Stewart, Eric Zeier, Rob Johnson and Stoney Case.
