fwiw, just got off the phone with the intercontinental, downtown l.a., where we'll be staying this weekend, spoke to a manager at the property (as opposed to an out of state reservation switchboard), asked how the fires were effecting downtown l.a., and if they had heard anything about the rams game being effected...

apparently i spoke to the right guy, he seemed very on top of things... said it was pretty much business as usual downtown, altho all of the downtown hotels were starting to sell out due to all of the evacuees needing rooms... he also said that they've kept in touch with all of the big events happening this weekend, and everything is still a go, for example he said lots of folks had come in for the cal/usc game and it was definitely a go, said the rams/seahawks were a go too...
