Vikings passed through two time zones.
Then Jared Goff did.

Jared Goff’s 465 pass yards were the third-most in Rams team history, behind only Norm Van Brocklin (554 in 1951) and Vince Ferragamo (509 in 1982).

Sam Farmer@LATimesfarmer
With every one of these games, it becomes increasingly evident what Les Snead and the rest of the Rams contingent saw in Jared Goff.

Some more stuff, reported by a friend.

InvaderRam

on good morning football they said goff is the only player in nfl history to pass for more than 300 yards while maintaining a completion percentage of 75% for three straight games.

also. on his perfect passer rating. it’s the 70th in the history of the nfl. but among those perfect passer ratings it’s number one in completions (tied), attempts, and passing yards.

(On if anything else stood out while re-watching QB Jared Goff’s performance)

“I think the thing that you can really appreciate is just the ability to understand what we’re trying to get done. The way that he’s manipulating defenders with his eyes, the way that he’s able to throw within the timing and the rhythm of the play if it’s there, but then also create off-schedule. I think you just continue to gain even more of an appreciation for some of the tight throws, especially some of those where you’re changing the launch point. You look at the second touchdown he throws to (WR Cooper) Kupp, I honestly thought he was throwing it away in live action. That was an incredible throw. I can’t tell you how many texts I’ve gotten from just coaches and people around the league that they’re involved with football that say, ‘That might be one of the best throws I’ve seen in a while,’ and I say, ‘You’re damn right it was.’

Funny how he doesn’t bring up his ridiculous “air raid qb” nonsense.
As much as it’s admirable to see posters admit they were wrong, it is completely pathetic to see someone “call their own number” over an issue they have been so off base on.

Lol. Such a strong need to be a stalker. :D

People get to brag in these forums now and then...which they do, regularly. It's a part of posting. The "see I was right" thing. But you're not personally fixated on others so you don't go after the poster in those other cases. If you were consistent about being a downer over things like that, you could though--you would have lots of opportunities.

It's just strictly personal. If you can't help yourself though have at it. It's easy enough to ignore from now on.

So moving on. 8-)

For me this is a thread about Goff's biggest game so far and a kind of celebration for that and there's plenty more to add to it. So back to Goff.

Jared Goff is on another level right now

Steve Wyche@wyche89
Jared Goff is out here like, “System QB. Ok. System this right here and this right here and this right here. Oh, and if you want to keep matching LBs on my guys, have some of this system right here too.”

We were all wrong about Jared Goff

Rob Lowe@RobLowe
Goff looks like he will be the biggest star QB for the Rams since Warren Beatty. Go @RamsNFL !!!!

B/R had conversations with three team representatives recently—the AFC West scout, an NFC coach and an NFC West front-office official—and asked them what they felt the top NFL storylines were three weeks into the 2018 schedule. ...

Most surprising player: Jared Goff. All three named Goff—and shockingly not Mahomes. Why? Mainly because they already felt Mahomes would be extremely good this year (though maybe not this good) but weren't as high on Goff entering this season.

What's changed? "The way he reads defenses is night-and-day from last year," said the coach.
