Now kinda regret posting. Let's see if a Times, ESPN or CBSSports type person confirms.

Some here say that isn't QB money. It is to me. That wasn't intended for you. Sorry about that.

So, at this point, the only person with the inside scoop is a guy with 650 followers on Twitter?

Meanwhile, Adam Schefter, who has 7.1M followers, is in the dark on this one.

Hmmmmm.....

Well, this comment from Vinny is interesting:

In fact, an NFL general manager told me recently word on the street is Donald and his agent aren’t just seeking a deal that resets the defensive market. They are looking for top quarterback money, which would mean pushing that $21 million to between $25 million and $30 million per year and thrusting that $70 million to the $80 million and beyond range.

I doubt he would just make something up. So now the question is, how much does that NFL general manager know? Do these guys know things fans and reporters don't?

If there is any truth to that, I'm in favor of franchising him two years and see where it takes us.

I was skeptical of Geller but Joe Curley is vouching for him:

So that's Vinny and Geller with sources telling them the Rams are offering a lot and Donald's camp wants more. How accurate they are is certainly debatable but it doesn't seem either reporter is making anything up...

sadly kroenke/demoff can't even pull a debartolo/policy move, pay donald a huge chunk off the books, given the public one-upsmanship that seems so important to players/agents these days, oh well.

anyway it's pretty tough for me to jump on the "donald is greedy" train (if the latest is true), or think badly of the guy, he's been the consummate nfler, a generational talent, and has done nothing but play balls out for the rams since day one... hope a deal gets done but, if not, that's ok too because it seems that both donald and the rams have very bright futures ahead regardless of how this thing shakes out.

It's been an entire evening and nobody else major has the same numbers or "insult".

I'm gonna wait.
