Who knows? I don't. He's pocketing 17 million from Miami for 2018! Offer him 8 for 2018 and more for 2019, 2020.

If we can offer a competitive contract or even near competitive he would be a complete idiot to say no to us and it would certainly prove the "mercenary" tag. The way we are building the defense after having the number 1 offense makes us a legit contender. And what beats living in LA?

Nothing..... the answer is nothing.

The Ndamukong Suh free agency tour presses on.

The defensive tackle told Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports he plans to visit the Los Angeles Rams. NFL Network's Peter Schrager reported that the meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.

Suh, who ranks No. 3 on NFL.com's Top 101 Free Agents of 2018, was released by the Miami Dolphins at the start of the free-agent signing period last week -- three years after he signed a record six-year, $114 million contract.

The visit to L.A. will be Suh's third. The 31-year-old made trips to New Orleans and Tennessee. Suh told Schultz that both visits "went well" and added money has not yet been discussed.

The Rams provide an intriguing destination for Suh, who would fit in with the glitz and glamour of L.A.

On the field, pairing Suh with Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald would be unfair to offenses. Good luck blocking one of those pocket-pushing behemoths one-on-one. Quarterbacks would be under siege from the snap of the ball.

Courting Suh is the latest move for general manager Les Snead that shows he's going all-in on 2018. Already Snead landed a ball-hawking corner duo of Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib in trades. Pairing the game-wrecking interior rush of Suh and Donald with a corner duo that jumps the ball would give Wade Phillips endless options.

Outside of California's high income tax -- Florida's lack of tax on salary famously played a role in Suh landing in Miami -- Suh to L.A. makes sense on the field and off the field.

The Rams would need to make the money work in the short term to ensure cash remains to lock down Donald, Todd Gurley and Jared Goff down the road. Thanks in part to many of their key contributors still being on rookie contracts, the Rams currently sit in the top three in cap space in 2019 and 2020, per Over The Cap.

I really liked the short discussion on the accompanying video from Good Morning Football. Particularly Nate Burleson's take.

I have a feeling A Big Boy Named Sue is about to become a Ram.

And as per where better to live,,,,,,,,,, well I have spent a lot of time in LA. Good place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there because it pales to my second home, the Jewel of Western Kansas. 57 now. Plan to be there by 65.

Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh pairing could force offenses to get very creative

Posted by Mike Florio on March 19, 2018, 7:35 PM EDT

So what will opposing offenses do if the Rams manage to land Ndamukong Suh? After they change their pants (because they’ve crapped in them), they’re going to have to get very creative.

Picture Suh and Aaron Donald destroying the interior of offensive lines. How will an offense even begin to run its scheme with Suh and Donald throwing the center and/or one or both of the guards into the legs of the quarterback?

During Monday’s PFT PM podcast, I spent some time spitballing, partially in jest and partially seriously, about what offenses will have to do if faced with stopping (or at least trying to stop) Suh and Donald. Teams would need to consider a bowling-pin backfield with linemen reporting as eligible (or wearing eligible numbers) and lining up in the “A” gaps, stacking five guys on two levels and having three players who run pass routes.

Again, it’s partially in jest. But it’s partially not. Which underscores how significant a Suh-Donald pairing could be for the Rams.

On top of stuff like this you have Pat Kirwan on Sirius talking about how huge the Rams moves to get Talib and Peters were because they now, pretty much, play man anytime, any situation...

playing for the rams could also give suh a chance to finally play for a competitive defense and a chance to not be asked to carry the full load.

in 7 of the 8 seasons suh has played in the nfl, his defenses have finished 18th or worse in offensive points allowed, and 20th or worse in 6 of the 8 years, that's pretty damn bleak.

add to this suh has been an absolute workhorse each and every year he's played, always booking the most defensive line snaps of any defensive lineman on his team, and always ranking near the very top in total team defensive snaps.
