Wade is too old to take another HC job, and with McVay calling the plays I’m not sure our OC gets a hc gig either. Anything possible but I think we should be safe this year

Since we have a filthy rich owner and coaches contracts don't count against the cap just pay these guys to keep them all intact.
I can't imagine walking away from this team unless the HC position is offered.
Quality and longevity wins championships. Methinks being in LA (with that ridiculous new stadium) is a pretty hard thing to walk away from.

They dont even have to. Unless someone is leaving for a HC job, the Rams dont have to allow anyone to interview for a lateral move

That is correct sir... . Who might be a candidate for HC?

Phillips has been there and done that and I believe he came here to be near his daughter who is out here.
so..
Kromer?
LaFleur?
Olsen?

Those would be the biggest concern imo.

LaFleur would be a lateral move, right? Olsen though.

Lateral doesn't mean anything anymore. The Rams can stop any coach under contract from leaving unless they're leaving for a HC gig.

But i don't think they would, doesn't seem like McVay's style. He's all about making people better, helping them improve and achieve their goals...

It seems nothing means anything anymore ,, except winning. Considering we are doing that and our HC (as you pointed out) is really running a good ship, I'd find it hard to believe anyone would leave ,, at least not yet.

Why go be an OC somewhere else when you already are one, in LA, in a winning situation? But you never know.

Fingers crossed we keep em all. Including our trainer.

Time to add Vance Joseph to the mix.

Phillips, as others have posted, is safe. What concern's me most is his age and health.

I see him coaching maybe two more years.

I think this staff will stay together for at least the next 2 seasons. I'm predicting the first coach to go will be Pleasant in a couple of years. I have been pretty impressed with him. A couple of years under Phillips and he may be ready for primetime as a DC someplace else.
