Current uni's with the "gold" removed. This is basically all I want. Clean, sharp, timeless.

and another blue and white only concept. I won't be heartbroken if they go another way, but I'm really hoping to go full blue and white while keeping the throwback blue and yellows as our 3rds.

I don't know so I'm just asking. Why do they call the 1973 uniforms Ferragamo? John Hadl was the QB and Lawrence McCutcheon was the RB when we started wearing those uniforms.

I don't think there's any particular reason and I wish I could remember who started it but a message board poster started calling them that and it just seemed to fit. It's since become the shorthand for "the '73-'99" uniforms.

Why Ferragamo instead of Hadl or McCutcheon(or any number of other Rams)? Well, first off it doesn't represent the year they switched to those colors, it's the whole era.

Second, when someone says Ferragamo, they know exactly which era that is. To be nit-picky, the uniforms evolved somewhat after their introduction in '73 so that particular year wouldn't be necessarily accurate.

Third, "Ferragamo's" just sort of rolls off the tongue.

I still don't see why they can't use the template that the Panthers jerseys have and just adjust for our colors? I mean, that's the argument I always hear is that the tucked in sleeves won't work with the shoulder horns. So, forget the horn part at the end and just have them go all the way around like they did back in the '60's or as the Panthers do.

It could be, I don't recall which board I first saw it on but I know I started using it to try and make it spread! :D

And to add to the reasons, I think Ferragamo represents finally getting over the hump for a lot of LA Rams fans. It'd basically been since Gabriel that the Rams had a franchise type QB and Vince was the face of the SB run in '79. Not to mention (finally)beating the hated Cowboys.

I think it’s symbolic due to Ferragamo being the qb in the Super Bowl.
When I think of Vince I really don’t think of him any way else. Wearing the whites, with his eye black streaming down his face

That was when I first started watching football and Vince was imprinted on my brain as what a QB should look like. Movie star good looks, cannon arm, charisma, slung the ball all over, threw TD's and WON!

What a contrast(in retrospect) to guys like Jaworksi and Haden.
